PAM Pennies A Mile... I was a mentor for them, after being in a truck for less than 6mo, and they put me out on the road training new drivers. It was .19/mile... My mentor was a drunk, took me sitting in a hotel for a month to get to a truck... just bad...
Good friend of mine that went through driving school w me also hooked up w Pam and his mentor was also a drunk. Got fired i believe. Horrible experience w Pam.
Just graduated from FTA I’m waiting on a mentor now. Says it’s a 2-3 week wait to get with a mentor. I check in daily but took a job to keep my bills paid.
Yeah that "ready pay" is ok but that doesn't pay bills as you say. Pam has to understand you just took a month without pay during truck school then you gotta wait almost another month to get on a truck. And then you're expected to work for them for what basically amounts to minimum wage for 1 yr. It's tough and a big reason many don't stay. All in the name of gaining experience 😅
Hello, greetings to everyone, I want to start driving trucks and travel all over the country. It seems to me that one of the things that helps me make more money is traveling for longer and longer distances. But I only drive small cars, I need to learn how to drive big heavy duty trucks. I KNOW THAT BEING NEW AND WITHOUT EXPERIENCE, I can only expect very cheap pay. I ask you: what is the best company right now in the US for beginners? I would like to be in one that really prepares me well and TEACHES me WELL how to go up and down a mountain with a super-loaded truck safely. And I also trained myself to know how to drive in winter during the snow. I KNOW THAT AS A NOVICE I AM GOING TO EARN VERY LITTLE, BUT AMONG ALL THE COMPANIES WHICH WILL BE THE ONE THAT PAYS THE BEST OR MORE OR LESS? I VERY APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSES OR GUIDANCE. I'M JOSE FROM BIRMINGHAM-ALABAMA.

I would only go there for the 6 months or a yr and then leave. There pay is not good since they start their drivers at 35 cents a mile. I wouldn't make that company a life long career out of that job
Going there for a year doesn't even financially make sense... once you do the math you realize this company paid off a CDL 4 times over... if they were paying you even remotely fair by the six-month that CDL should be paid for, so why do they take a year? Because it's more beneficial for the company to keep you there as long as possible...😂
At six months experience all the companies pay a similar rate. They don’t want to pay much the first three to six months because most people get in an accident quit or get fired before the six month mark
@@raymondkidwell7135no all companies don’t pay a similar rate . I got my CDL 9 months ago and started at .72 cents a mile company driver . It takes a lot of research but they’re are a lot of companies that pay a lot higher then “ Megas”
My very well thought out very best answer Hirschbach Lease ,$1,300 $1,500 very very average pay will make more 800 dollar orientation pay paid travel. For you the 1st spot if it works for you S&S Transport. My very best advice smart move getting out of Pam Transport if if if able and feel it is safe things aren't that bad for you complete the year get your CDL training paid for and get the needed experience. It is terrible that anyone has to leave because they do alot good things right alot when there not on the way way way way way wrong direction for awhile now. You work nights you get a fridge at Pam Transport navigation with each load and a tonnage of experience. But when their on the wrong direction none of that is in any way appealing.I understand I can wish hope they turn around but we both know that's not going to happen until changes are made.
Pam is good to get your foot in the door. I left a month after I got out on the road. My mentor was filing out applications when I was with him. Prime inc also does driver training but in-house.
Pam was trash, I went to school at AAA school of trucking in Phili................ gravel/dirt lot full of holes. Head trainer was disrespectful to everyone. (IMO) took me about 3 -4 weeks to get picked up. was supposed to get picked up at noon he didn't show up till 10pm. then right from the get go I was driving. went 4 hours to pick up a load then after that did my 30 minute break and he went bed and told me to wake him when I got tired or we get to the split as he wanted to get fuel at a Loves. and that was my training, It was team driving not much training since he slept while I drove and vise versa. 2 weeks and I bailed and paid Driver Solutions back. they gave me a big discount since I was able to pay them in full and not make payments. I advise everyone to stay away from Pam and this was during covid so a lil ways back and listening to you nothing has changed the pay is still the same and all.
I was going to go with Pam because Roehl told me I’d have to relocate and not move back because of not having loads coming and going from my home town that I live in

Don’t go to PAM!!! Use to be ok now it’s totally unorganized. You are nothing but a driver code not a person. No respect, No room for advancement, and all they do is lie to you! You’ve been warned!!!
🪴My extra opinion you should have stayed getting paid to do nothing to me that's winning the lottery no disrespect.I am laughing off my keyster over here how you got it.Getting a truck hirschbach encourages no disrespect 2 just re lease and get a new truck every so many years at the end of the lease agreement. But so you know there is a guy at knight transportation and he got his Freightliner cascadia for 60,000 and that's what trucks are going for a little more for the peterbilts. So you know landstar is were it is at and or working the load boards but at landstar you don't have to have your own company and landstar takes care of a lot of the responsibility of owning your own business. Hirschbach as a lease purchase fuel is capped at a dollar a gallon. A lot of owner operators get with big companies to get a rebate on the fuel at a dollar a gallon it doesn't get any cheaper and if you decide to own a Freightliner 60,000 and then you don't have a truck payment. These are my best thoughts if your trying to make money hirschbach is the way to go.Also Si su energy out of Fort Worth Texas up to 20 grand a week I put it out there I have no idea how I found them on Fox Business.Your story is hilarious that must have been a new student trainer 3 weeks or less that was going to train you. How do I know because only the new guys get the new trucks that break almost immediately or just a little later.I say this with a sence of adventure in all good honesty and humor your story is hilarious you should have stayed a year. So you know you don't have the best financial advice going no disrespect but whos telling ya any different ya know.God bless ya almost made it.🪇

So u sat at home for a little over 2 months and called them once 😂😂😂 bro u didn’t want to work
Lol
I was waiting for a call lmao
Hey I'm going put your link on mine, get u views. Your honest about it. Unless u say u ain't cool with it I'll take it down
Wow I'm going there in October and I'm Soo scared
You'll be fine I'm sure. Hopefully they will have revamped the training dept by then
Pam is good to get your foot in the door. I left a month after I got out on the road. My mentor was filing out applications when I was with him. Prime inc also does driver training but in-house.
I hear Prime is good as well. Pay during training is very good too I'm told at like $700 or $800/week I believe.
@@gandalfcritzprime pays 1200 a week for trainees
@@blackchuckstablehi!!! Do you got to pay that money back to Driver solutions?
I was going to go with Pam because Roehl told me I’d have to relocate and not move back because of not having loads coming and going from my home town that I live in
Hello, greetings to everyone, I want to start driving trucks and travel all over the country.

@@HollywoodCane they told me .55 cent per mile also but they didn't give it to me. A lot of Companies are having hard times right now with fuel prices and other issues.
@@mickeytate7048 could I just go through the schooling to get my CDL & leave PAM ? I don’t mind owing them I just wanna gone get my CDL

I like that hat.....
Don’t go to PAM!!! Use to be ok now it’s totally unorganized. You are nothing but a driver code not a person. No respect, No room for advancement, and all they do is lie to you! You’ve been warned!!!
The school thing is a rug pull scam.
Who cares you are getting paid to do nothing
???
I'd rather work and get paid $1,800/week than sit at home being unproductive and make $500/week
Zero money in trucking
Well damn, sign me up. 12k for 0 miles. 😂😂
