He deserves a medal for being so honest
Omfg big deal
Yeah, im not Christian but I definately respect some of his perspective and his seeking of better coping mechanisms.
Yes, maybe two
“Keep starting over until you’re new”
That is a great quote and inspiration for those of us who are still wasting away the days
@Derrick AlphaMag better than ‘if you fail you’re f’d and shouldn’t try again’
@Derrick AlphaMag Let me introduce the paradigm of humanity to you. Don't act like you're immune to it. Every single human falls victim to its own nature.

I'm sober for five years now. Respect to everybody going through this. Love the life.
I love the honesty and sincerity that he speaks... You can tell that he's on another level in his life now.
His eyes say somthing different

"In this life we get so many chances to start again. So keep starting again till ur brand new." Wow!
I listened to Korn since I was a child warming up for football practice. I saw Brian at my local church where he came to speak about his past, his affiliation with korn, and how God flipped his life around. Truly opening story & a great man, truly. Thanks for continuing to share your experience and expand people’s knowledge and awareness!
F’ing dude looks younger then he did back in the day.
so happy for him...I used to watch Korn play down in San Diego right before follow the leader came out (Dream Street) if anyone from KORN ever comes by. I knew the first time I saw you guys (them) live...they had changed the game...they were and are amazing. Really happy for you Brain...stay healthy bro. big inspiration!
Yes the members of Korn are actively trolling their own obscure UA-cam videos and the comments' section. They saw your comment and told me to say hi :)
just kidding
@@voteZDLR Why wouldn't they be watching their old video's and interviews on youtube? Of course they wouldn't admit to it, but nearly every celebrity does it.....
@@TheBlashMusic Source? You're a celebrity? From what I understand every celebrity is different, much like, you know, actual human beings and stuff.
But I dunno I just consider it an exercise in vanity more than anything, the kind of thing that "they wouldn't admit it" goes without saying for if they did they'd naturally look full of themselves.
So, in short, I can picture someone like Tom Cruise Googling himself once per hour every single day and he's made his homepage his official fan site, so he is the first thing he sees whenever he goes online or whatever.
I do not see Korn obsessing over themselves that much, beyond that, I'm not famous or anything but I never feel the need to Google myself. Why? Because I am me, I already know everything I need to know about me, and more than anything else I shudder at the thought of what else I might learn about myself in the process.
So no, TL;DR -- they're not combing their comments. And even if they were, they'd never respond and you'd never know one way or another so we may as well just assume they're not reading them. There's better ways to actually contact them if that's what you're really trying to do.
Soma side stage ‘94 ish?
Sounds weird but whatever bugging your soil followed by satellites detonate I mean in your mind
I have so much respect for this band! They never give up on life, and they are so insperational too!!!!! YOU GUYS SAVED MY LIFE.
I'm coming back to God, too. I've had my battles with addiction. I have a crazy wild soul. I'm perfectly sober now. Took me nearly 30 years.
Hope it stays that way.
It’s funny he almost said sucked into it for days but he stopped himself and said hours hahaha
I caught that too.

@@lucassaueressig1411 yeah, and it can go too far really fast.

I have so much respect for him and had the honor to meet him last year & I was starstruck.
In my honest opinion, I think if he didn't find God, get sober and leave the band then he would've died and/or Korn would've broke up.
Brian is such an inspiration to me and countless other people.
Oh please. They all "find god."

I got to meet the guy in 2015 after a show of Korn and A7X and he is one of the most humble down to earth people I have ever talked to. All the best to you My friend.
I like his vibe. he does sound humble and that's a really sound piece of advise. Do not give up if you sometimes fall of the wagon.

I can relate ... just finished his first book, an extreme eye opener
I read his book a long time ago. It was very good. Helped me out a lot. I have a lot of respect for Brian Welch.

One of my most favorite bands KORN!!!!
This is very compelling and motivating.
I don't care if it's a bit of a cliche/platitude/whatever: 2:41 is such an important thing to hear from someone I look up to... After a certain number of relapses, many in recovery (myself included) are too ashamed to let anyone know they've turned back again (and, therefore, less likely to get the help/support they need). At least for me, it's much easier to forgive yourself and get back on track when a relapse is met with empathy (rather than tough love, panic, etc.). Fellow addicts and/or Kornheads, I love you 💯
I want to cry listening to him. I struggle with addictions too. Its so easy to fall back in those traps
Love you man
Appreciate you bro.
It's awesome to see how openly positive and happy he is to be drug free and sober. I know in the metal scene some people see that as weak, but I think it's cool to see someone of his status promoting a healthy lifestyle.
I wouldn’t say it’s the metal scene, I’d say it’s in any group with people with dependencies. It’s so weird how it’s looked down on to be happy and healthy. I guess some people just don’t want to be sad and sick AND alone
@@TheHulksMistress That's more accurate. I just meant certain bands and people, certainly not the whole metal scene.
@@kevinrox666 I get ya. It’s just weird to me like you said, how people don’t really promote healthy lifestyles.
In my family, if you eat fruit & veg and exercise you’re some kind of pretentious do gooder. So it always makes me happy to see great role models speak out
Good thing korn isn't metal lol! I'm ready for hate

Glad he's healthy & happy. Gave us all alotta good drug-fueled jams but the party's gotta stop sometime & everyone drinks some water & gets some exercise

A lot of people hate KoЯn but in reality KoЯn is the most human Metal band I listened to they saved my life I've learned how to speak up thanks to Johnathan and I got inspired to play Bass thanks to Reggie
Some people get some sort of odd "status", in their mind, by hating on things. My advice is ignore people who focus on saying what they don't like. To me they are as tedious as a child who constantly says what food they hate, but won't tell you what they want to eat.
We call that post nut clarity. Jk
Not too many people will get the extent of that one ....Unless they have been there.

Your stupid. Once your addicted to something you cant just think one day...oh I can shoot one, I can snort one, I can drink one. It doesn't work like that. The minute you go back you cant have just one of anything. Educate yourself.
