Welcome to today's video which is all about anti ageing skincare and some tips i have picked up along the way.. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and sending you lots of love xxxxx
Watching this video while wearing a Myrrh mask on my "mature" skin going thru all my Christmas skincare creating new routines. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy Boxing day. Must Haves 1) Antioxidants 2) Peptides 3) Ceramides 4) Retinol 5) SPF 6) In office "beauty treatments"
After 9 months of daily use, I gave up on Differin adaplalene for anti-aging. Tretinoin worked very quickly for me. I started at an .025% and am at .05% after a year and a half. I use it nightly.
Thank you so much for being pro-ageing language. It’s so easy to want to be the youngest possible looking. I have my Granny to stay at the moment. She’s 86 and she’s got wrinkles galore but she’s the most beautiful person I have ever known. Gorgeous skin and a gorgeous, quietly spoken but intelligent personality. My absolute heroine and she’s the reason I have never been afraid of ageing!
Such fantastic advice! The first revelation I had concerning anti-aging it that many of the active ingredients overlap when it comes to how they improve the skin. So, one doesn't have to have every active advertised as they are not all needed. I focus on plumping , exfoliating dead skin, increasing collagen production, smoothing fine lines, addressing dehydration and of course, protecting the skin with antioxidants and sunscreen. My most amazing find of the years, was from the dollar store called, Dollar General in the US. They have their own brand, Believe Beauty, and make a hydrating gel moisturizer with copper peptides for $5. Yes, you read that correctly. It's not really a gel, and it has a strong fragrance, but my skin tolerate iss so well. I mix this with the MAS moisturizer, and another moisturizer with ceramides. I have learned SO MUCH from this channel, and I continue to learn more and more! And the proof is just how much better my skin looks!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
hi I am from Spain, I'm 31 and I watch all your videos since I was searching for The Ordinary brand anti aging, thank you so much for all your videos !!!!
Asian sunscreens are considered to be the most “cosmetically elegant”. However most of the UVA protection is minuscule, so I chose to stick with European sunscreens. I live in hot and humid Southeast Asia plus I’m on tretinoin 0.1% and 4% hydroquinone. I currently use P20 for kids, it has a shiny finish but I don’t really care, I’m a guy and learned to use Face powder to offset the shine. I’m willing to sacrifice cosmetic elegance for the protection it offers
I totally agree with you and we should promote the protection above the feel of the product for sure... A thin layer of powder can be amazing and its something I do some days for sure... sending you lots of love xxxxx
@@itsruckaswife7036 I’m on tretinoin gel microsphere 0.1%. I was on gel microsphere for 6 months before jumping to the 0.1% one. Tretinoin gel microsphere doesn’t cause a lot of irritation compare to cream/gel counterpart so I was able to jump strengths in less than a year.
Your channel has helped me sooo much with anti aging xxxxx can’t wait to see more amazing from you next year lovely 🤍🤍🤍sending positive vibes your way 😘😘😘
Thank you so so much Chris and I hope you have had the most wonderful Christmas.. I went to a pantomime yesterday so honestly in the best mood ever :) sending you so much love xxxxx
The Ordinary have four products that I use on a daily basis: Granactive Retinoid 2% emulsion Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid Matrixyl and Argireline I totally agree with you about a nice oil! Rosehip oil is amazing!! I am also a believer in beauty sleep and I love me a good sleeping mask/night cream and I’m also a believer in everything rice, saké and galactomyces 😺 That’s my anti-aging! Besides using spf, sunglasses and hats 🧴🕶 👒 and staying out of the sun. Best holiday wishes to everyone!! Tons of love!! ✌️😽💗
Thank you so so much for sharing hun and that sounds like such a good routine.. I hope you have had the most wonderful Christmas and sending you so much love xxxxx
hey, 'You do You', best advice -e-v-e-r-. As much as I have tried, I'm far better off using my Tret every other day. That routine gives me no peeling and no itchiness. Happy Christmas and sending much love ~ Paula
Hi Rob, have you ever done a “building a skincare routine” type video? I’d love to know how and when you incorporate your different actives. I tend to alternate between retinoids and acids at night and antioxidants (+SPF of course!) in the morning but want to work out how to add in a peptide product 🤔
Hi Rachel, peptides work really well with retinol. They have similar benefits over time and help offset some of the potential dryness and irritation from the retinoids.
Hello Rob!! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!!... glad to hear I follow those 5 steps with all those ingredients 😃..... I am a little more careful with ANY kind of retinols..... I also agree with you completely; if a product stings or burns ;STOP using it ... take care...
I am on differin since end of October as I have mild acne. I saw a huge improvement. I ll soon re introduce A- game on my face (still using the A-game for my neck)
I use spf, niacinamide, azelaic acid, urea, and vitamin A in my acne-controlling routine. All of these have other skin health and beautification benefits, so hopefully this will keep my skin looking its best in the long run.
Most derms disagree w/you, Rob, about mixing different types of Retin A. They mostly say to be consistent (even if using different types of Retin A on face & neck) for best effectiveness & to avoid irritation.
I think it will depend on everyone ... I use different types of retinols ... Diferin, tretenoin 0,5 and a313 ... I m pretty sure that they do diferent jobs and concern to the skin so I switched every other days each one. Also use niacinamide in the mornings and Cetaphil moisturizer with rosehip oil in the night ... My skin loves this regular skincare!
Thanks for another great video Rob! It reminded me that of a new years resolution: to take better care of my skinbarrier. I would love to try the stratia liquid gold but it's to expensive to ship to the Netherlands, what would you recommend instead to maintain a happy skinbarrier while using a game retinol? During summer it worked beautifully on its own btw so thank you for recommending it!!! Xxx and lots of love from the Netherlands
Thanks for these great tips. I see you have a header saying “Products mentioned” but there is nothing listed under it. Can you please list the products you showed in the video. 💕
honestly, is there a point in alternating retinoids? i get that retinal might be a more gentle option, but i feel like there’s really no sense in alternating these two unless you’re trying to increase the chances of irritation, since these two retinoids work by connecting to different receptors in the skin
A dermatologist here on UA-cam said recently that a facial oil doesn’t moisturize your skin but only acts as an occlusive for your hydrating skincare…..is that correct?
Lovin' this video! Love these recommendations! I'm hitting 41 in January so I'm taking notes. I'm already using TO lactic acid 10 percent you recommended and simply love it. Adapalene and Facetheory Exaglow S10 serum along with sunscreen are my staples ❤️
I’m trying skincare ROC have heard so much about it ... perhaps u should try this out as well ...will let u know how I like it - perhaps my 2022 new product - I love trying different products 🙏 27/12/21 Australia 🙏 Happy Holiday 🤗🎄🎄

Sorry it's been ages, but how long did it take you to titrate up to 0.1 Tret if you remember?

Dear, love your videos! What about the sunscreens you would recommend effective for UVA and UVB? Kisses from Brazil (we really need sunscreen here!!)
Thanks for these great tips. I see you have a header saying “Products mentioned” but there is nothing listed under it. Can you please list the products you showed in the video. 💕
Hi hun, I am so sorry they were there but I dont think it saved properly so I will go and correct that now.. Sending you lots of love xxxxx

This is wonderful, darling!! Have you tried, reviewed Herbivore Oils?
I need anti-ageing. I feel like I’m 100! I hope you had a brilliant Christmas Day with lots of love and joy! Xxx
Where are the links to the spf?
🌸
Wishing you a pleasant evening.
Can you make a video on what aspects to take care of when someone is allergic to nicianmide? Yes I'm the rare person out here :(
Thats why i stopped using the p50w, its a worldwide fave but started to sting so much i drop it
I looove rosehip seed oil 😻😻😻
Same here hun one of my favourites... Love you xxxxx
A dermatologist here on UA-cam said recently that a facial oil doesn’t moisturize your skin but only acts as an occlusive for your hydrating skincare…..is that correct?
Hi hun, that is part of their benefit but they have others side from just the occlusive layer.. I hope this helps and sending you lots of love xxxxx
What’s your opinion on Algenist anti aging products?
Hi hun, thank you for watching.. I like them but I think they are a little overpriced for what they offer.. sending you lots of love xxxx
