It sounds like Paul only used the Jazz Bass for the recording, as opposed to combining it with the Bass VI. And it's just as well since the Bass VI was only right-handed, so Paul couldn't have used it without restringing it.
You´re right! Most songs on the White Album he used the Fender VI Jazz bass.
