Probably one of my most favorite scenes as a kid, during her dream. They honestly pulled it off so well. And the way it transitions from when she's about to "jump" in the dream to when she wakes up close to the ship's edge, *chefs kiss* . Phenomenal.
This song gave me goosebumps, and at 1:25 : Little boy in dream: "Come on", and I remember every quote to the whole movie, and at the end Anastasia's father: "Jump in" The Romanov Curse". This sure does bring me memories from my childhood (sighs) good old days.
At 1:17 is the most chilling part to this song, I used to be a little scared of this scene when I was a kid at 8 years old I was almost startled at the part where the jump scene when the whole Romanov curse happened with demons in it. Brings me back memories, the stormy scene still brings me chills even as an adult. 😨♥️♥️💯
this is one of my favorite pieces of music from the movie. you can really hear the change from anya’s dreams to reality and as a pianist it’s really fascinating to see how composers can sort of emulate scenarios and interpret them into beautiful pieces. sorry for geeking out haha, i just think it’s really cool
This is a seriously disturbing scene…it makes me really freaked out and disturbed, yet I can’t help admire the brilliance of this scene. It is a really good scene.
This entire scene and musical score is incredibly eerie and heartbreaking, especially when you take into account what actually happened to the Romanovs… Seeing them all happy and cheerful in the nightmare illusion just gets more ominous the more you think about it.
This is amazing :O I can just imagine the strong storm and the dream pretending everything's all right just by listening to this track. I wonder what would happen if I listened to this while sleeping...
Aftermath: *Mission 2 Failed* Rasputin: Nooooooooo! *throws a tantrum* Bartok: Woah, easy now, sir. This is no time to lose your head. Rasputin: You're right. I'm calm.....I'm heartless...I have no feelings whatsoever..... *head sinks into throat* Bartok: Sir? *enters Rasputin's throat* Rasputin: I feel an onset of clarity, Bartok. *Bartok leans on head* I'll have to kill her myself in person. Bartok: You mean physically? Rasputin: You know what they said: "If you want something done right,"- *bumps on wall* Bartok: But that means gone topside. *pulls Rasputin's head out* Rasputin: Exactly. *repositions head* I always have fond memories of Paris.... *strangles a bug* killing the last Romanov with my own hands...would be so delicious. *Throws down strangled bug* Well, time to go. *prepares to leave* Bartok: But you're dead! You're falling apart, sir! How do you expect to get to Paris in one piece? Rasputin: I thought we take the train. *rockets out of Limbo* Bartok: Whoa! *clings on reliquary* (The two depart from Limbo for Paris)
This sequence reminds me of the nightmare that Charlie Barkins had in All Dogs Go To Heaven and the stormy ship sequence in An American Tail (both films done by Don Bluth).
0:00 "There she is, master! Sound asleep in her little bed!" "And pleasant dreams to you, Princess. I'll get inside your mind where you can't escape me."
It's really, really weird thinking about this and realizing it's from a different era of filmmaking. I'm not old, but this is burned into my brain, I can see the scene with my eyes closed. Somehow this memory is from 25 years ago.
Hello, could you please add the track ' The palace' I think it was number five on the score soundtrack but apparently is missing. If you can't upload the track in here could you please tell me where can I download the score? Thanks a lot!!! :D
Monie56 there was never such a track on the original soundtrack that was released in 1997. Now maybe it was released on a special edition later, or it was called something else.

Man David Newman is such a good composer, it's kind of a shame Don Bluth never hired him in the past before this film.
@SarayaRaven Actually, his brother Thomas Newman's a compser too and worked with Elfman, so it's possible there were connections. 8D
yesss thank you sooo much for posting this song up ^.^
Yeah this is very Edward Scissorhands, or that is which of Elfman's score I am reminded most of.
Ah yes, who doesn't love Nightmare Fuel?
Nightmare is DANGEROUS! YOU BETTER WAKE UP! Anastasia NO! You Gotta Wake Up! Anastasia!
kinda reminds me of tim burton's composer danny elfman a tad
1:20 shit that scared me 😂

The children never deserved their tragic deaths but since they are the heirs it’s most unfortunate.
It truly is a nightmare
