Ants don't identify each other by sight. But through scent. If a larva from another colony is introduced to another. The other ant colony will take care of it as if it was related to them. And through cleaning. The larvae will acquire the colonies scent

@@abe_linc02 you have a lot of learning to start, for example Hawaii have an environmental disaster because of foreign species introduced by colonists which created lots of pests that are destroying their ecosystem to solve those problems the colonists introduced another species to counter the pests but as a result they created another pests that on top of not solving the previous pest is devouring the native species some of the native species got extinct as a result and some are endangered.

Queens will give birth to other queens, but the virgin queens have to leave their birth nest to start a hoard of their own. I think queens can live for like 30 years and their only job is pumping out babies. That’s to the best of my knowledge. I’m not expert!

Im not very informed but for some people thinking of releasing animals, im pretty sure its usually bad to release pets and stuff into the wild like ants, fish, etc. if you dont know for sure that theyre native to their area cause they might become an invasive species if ure not careful!

They'll also die out without the queen, because she is the egg layer of the colony. So even if they were invasive they would pose very minimal environmental risk, unless they contracted a bacteria or virus from the captive bred bugs they have probably been fed such as mealworms or roaches.

Just a suggestion, do your research before bringing eggs and pupae to a new nest.
They're both carpenter ant colonies, worst case scenario the new colony will just eat the brood, which then it's just more nutrients, it's quite safe
