Wow at my highschool if students were even caught smoking off campus they would get suspended and have to attend a tabacco education class the first time at least. The second time it would be three days suspension

@@ArchWolfVegasEditor sadly that's how one of my uncle's died. Longtime smoker and he even smoked when he had oxygen in the last few years of his life.
When I was in High school (between the years 1988-1991) YOu get caught for smoking cigarettes, it was an automatic 1 day suspension. I do not smoke, but a classmate smoked and he got caught smoking on school grounds 4 times in one year.
Based on previous life experiences, I can tell y’all that when somebody goes outside just to take a break or to relax or to chill or whatever, their dumbass is smokin! This reminds me of something I saw on grounded for life once.
it's legal to have/use tobacco products as a minor, it's just illegal to buy them. she was NOT caught actually smoking, she said she was going out for a smoke break, doesn't mean she was actually smoking. and not being allowed in school and being illegal to have in school are two different things.
My cigarettes cost 9.00$ I wish ours was 5.00$ what a deal man also at my high school your aloud to go across the street and smoke during your lunch break
DETENTION? Do that shit in my school you getting sent to OAC / alternative school for at least a month. Also she didn’t even give up the lighter, and it looks like she’s doing more than cigarettes
All public schools are a tobacco free zone and if you live in the state of Connecticut the law states that tobacco products are prohibited on school grounds whereas in the state of Texas alcohol is prohibited on school grounds
I went to school and Ct and kids would smoke behind a path outside the school called the smoker's path. When they stopped allowing that the kids simply walked about two feet off the path where it wasn't school property. The teacher's knew kids smoked but for the most part they turned a blind eye to having them in school. Some kids; however, insisted on smoking in the bathroom. It was stupid because there was no way to the hide the smell in concentrated area. They'd get caught by security and receive a significant fine as well as detention or ISS. Anyone who remembers between 2004-2011 the price of cigarettes jumped from approximately 5 dollars to 10 dollars. That was partly the Gov't trying to discourage smoking and partly inflammation. I didn't smoke in high school, but if you remember when you could get a Crunchwrap for 2 dollars and a Big Mac for 3.50. Now both cost almost 5 dollars.
I don't think shorts or even athletic pants should be a necessity. As long as you don't wear filthy clothing or overly warm clothing then you SHOULD be ok
