Landmines are mostly used as a defensive tool. They can stop bad guys from invading your country, for example. The world is not black and white.
The land mine was likely there to protect people, not to hurt animals... It's called an accident

I guess you can even volunteer in your local shelter. :) I rescue sick/hurt pigeons in my city and i think what i do is indeed something important. :)
Look into missionary work.
Every day and every moment you are presented with opportunities to make this world a better place.
Pick trash that you see, open the door for someone, smile, become the persons you want to meet.
The key and test in this day and age. Is to do it without expecting anything in return.

One of the most compassionate acts of respect for another species! Wonderful to see animals rescued, healed, loved. Elephants extraordinary, intelligent, magical, link to a great and mysterious past. Keeping them safe and free in natural habitat is the least mankind can do. It's their earth we're just passing through!

Humans have done alot of harm to animals intentionally and unintentionally, so it's nice when an animal in need, even an elephant - which is what makes this so amazing, gets the help they need. These people are wonderful! 👍
