I used these building a couple of cutting boards to replace those in our countertop....they work a treat, at least they did combined with a drum sander to bring everything to a constant thickness before the glue-ups. Mine were of chaos 'pattern' so there was a LOT of sawdust. The setup was quick and easy, I used packing tape over the clamps to ease cleanup. -Veteran '66-68
I got a set and they do a good job. However, in the video with the set up being is fast motion, it does not show how difficult it is to put the top piece in and sometimes when you lift the front end, the bar used to apply pressure will drop below and get caught, so have to adjust it. I am sure it will be easier with practice, but just wanted to point out that it is not as easy as shown so I suggest you may include setting up a couple of times without glue to get the hang of it.
I’m finding it quite difficult to add the top rails in a smooth manner. Headstock clamp jaws get caught on the threads of the screw and won’t close. I need another set of hands to use these!
@@rockler I would suggest a different response then to always call customer support. This is the comment section with replies. This is not a good place to recommend a phone conversation. It pretty much defeats the point of this section and your channel. Perhaps get someone who can actually respond to comments and questions. This is the year 2023. I would suggest coming into the 21st century.
We are just social media moderators doing our best. We recommend our product support team because we put together a team that is trained on all the products, and are the best resource for you and all of our customers. Some conversations are going to require a back and forth conversation that could be lengthy, and possibly get lost or confusing in a comment section. Often it would be faster and much more helpful for you with a 1 on 1 conversation with a product specialist. You can email them as well if you don't want to have a phone conversation. Thanks
I just got these and had these same problem that you described but I think I figured out how to deal with it. Pull the clamp with the threads up and back making sure the small bar is resting above the lower bar before putting the round thingies into their slots. It definitely takes a few tries to figure out the right order to set everything
I just found about _Shopsmith double bar clamp for cutting board_ and this ones from Rockler looks _"exactly the same"_ as the ShopSmith ones, just with a twist. Ikn, every improvement is a good thing. So, i'm glad technology advances, old ways to do things are improved. But i feel a bit of salt when seeing that. Eh, maybe it's just me rn. Cheers!

The material is much to thin to be able to flatten and would b3 pron3 to wrap later
Parallel clamps are the way to go for panel style glue up. F clamps are worst for that.
Ok , redo the video and get rid of the middle cutting board that is uneven, Yes you noticed it in the video making.
It was sitting on a pen. 😆
It is a complex process. Not as easy to use these clamps as they think. Takes practice slipping that top after the glue is on
They can be tricky at first. Check out this video, it may help. - ua-cam.com/users/shortsspvsUrJ8ZXg - Thanks

제품은 좋은것 입니다.
하지만 나는 영상을 편집하지 않고 비디오 속도도 편집하지 말고 보여 줄것을 요청 합니다.

One of his boards is warped
Wow
Rofl you’re right. He notices it too right at the end as it rocks when he sets it down.
“Nah, it’s fine” 😂
