Do we know even one other university student leader's name? He contested elections and lost by 2 lakh votes.. That tells whether he is popular or not. Poverty, lack of job opportunities, domestic violence, were there since the Independence, and regardless of who is at the helm, they would continue to be there, after all it is 1.3 Billion population with meagre resources and 25% illiteracy. No leader could turn it around in a decade or two. People need to understand that Indian National congress could not do it 60 years- for ever did Muslim appeasement politics- they were ok. If there is one leader, who could complete what was promised on election manifesto in first few months- there are agitations, because they are orchestrated by the opposition who are hell bent on getting back to power.
