I’m very glad I’ve always been a Jack Perry fan since I first seen him. He’s probably my favorite thing going on right now. I do enjoy the Bucks but they’ve slowed a little for me. Jack’s smug face when he poured the glass out just…man…hilarious and brilliant.
I'm admittedly a WWE fan -- especially since Vince McMahon has retired and the show has reverted more to the attitude era style where midcarders have actual characters and storylines instead of the whole show revolving around one guy -- but I have Dynamite on my TV every Wednesday. Occasionally I remember to put on Collision. And I watch the PPVs. That said... I was not overly fond of this PPV. To be fair, I'm not overly fond of a lot of "top acts" in AEW. The Young Bucks and Chris Jericho specifically have a tendency to ruin the momentum of anything and anyone they're involved with. This did not change when it came to Okada, FTR/Acclaimed, and now Hook. Swerve Strickland and Mercedes Mone are probably the least engaging champions I've ever had the experience of being exposed to. Hangman Adam Page has never come off as likeable or enjoyable since the launch of AEW.... I could go on but I'll mention it all further on... I was invested in the tag title match in hopes that either FTR or Acclaimed would win since I adore Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, and Cash Wheeler. Then the obvious happened and the Bucks put themselves over. I'd be disappointed if I didn't go into it knowing how much of a possibility the worst decision ever would be. The trios titles match was just a classic AEW clusterfuck let's get everyone on the PPV whether they're over or whether we have a story. At least Wheeler YUTA was part of the winning team. I love him. He's the coolest shithead ever. I strongly dislike Toni Storm and everything she's been doing. I don't find her compelling. I personally don't find her particularly good on the mic and she's become very slow in the ring over the years. That said, I'm glad her title reign is over. MJF and Ospreay also did not appeal to me for the simple fact that MJF won the title on a random Dynamite for the obvious big Ospreay win in Wembley. It made me not care. That said, I'm THRILLED that Daniel Fuckin' Garcia is back. He's incredible. I generally like MJF but this storyline was not hitting for me. Casino Battle Royal... ugh. Okada is great. Ricochet is one of my all time favorites. Hangman is probably my second most disliked person in this company. Nothing he's ever done has been enjoyable to me. I'm glad he lost. I'm not glad that Christian Cage won. It seems to be the one shared opinion everyone has on this show. TBS title... throw it, this match, and both women in the trash. Mercedes Mone using her creative control and personal writer to do whatever she thinks she is doing has only validated WWE's decision to not listen to her ideas. No complaints with the TNT title match. Jack Perry is great. Darby Allin is alright. Sting showing up on TV the same year he retired is too soon, though. I get it, but it was just a miss for me. I've never been a big Bryan Danielson fan. However, I had the exact same sentiment as The Boy when this match was announced. What Bryan's name does for the AEW World title lineage is more than a victory here would have done for Swerve. But at the same... Swerve to me is what Mercedes Mone is to both of you. Whether he's a heel or a babyface, I dislike him. Everything he does is to the point I just don't want to watch. From his interviews over the years, he comes off the same way as Mercedes Mone in that they both feel like the biggest mark for themselves and are now in a situation where their boss allows them to stroke their own egos. That said, thank God that Bryan won and hopefully Swerve can go do something with Hangman so I don't have to watch that piece of the programming.
@@OKThen1982 I've been very interested in a lot of what WWE is doing. I do pay attention in the periphery, but I don't have a way to watch weekly and really don't want to give money to Logan Paul, who is obviously very entrenched in WWE's machine. Thanks for sharing your full thoughts! I love seeing all the different opinions in the wrestling world.
Always nice to see a well thought out comment like this. Even if I disagree with it, you can tell it comes from someone with a considered point of view. Thanks!

@@sjj71189 Handsome Jack is really rising up the ranks for me, too.
Seriously though, that main event was excellent.
