-June 2024 Heat Wave, temperature according to various wireless thermometers in the yard.
-First test of the Whirlpool ACQ142XH0 14,000 BTU 120v Air Conditioner on a hot day.
-Various plants and flowers around the yard.
-Vegetable/fruit garden.
-Carrier International Series 27,500 BTU air conditioner startup.
-"Low Lead" Christmas tree found at the Goodwill.
-Afternoon rain storm.
-Fluorescent, high pressure sodium (HPS), and metal halide (MH) light fixtures found on a dumpster dive.

I think that Metal Halide/CFL combined fixture would be installed above a large aquarium.
The F40T12 fluorescent light is probably designed to be placed on top of an aquarium somehow. Fixtures like that may not be super useful for general lighting, but you could get the other ones and take the ballasts out to convert other fixtures to preheat. Also, the lamp you got with the fixture might be purple. 🟣
I think the grow light is designed to take one 400-watt metal halide bulb and one 400-watt high-pressure sodium bulb. One plug would be connected to the Model #S400 outlet on the ballast and its corresponding socket would have the HPS bulb. The other plug would be connected to the Model #M400 outlet and have the MH bulb. I think the use of the word “Model” is confusing in this context, they are not referring to different models of fixtures but rather different bulbs or just different sides of the fixture.

For night time a quieter system would be a whole house A/C with all the ducts, but that would be an expensive investment to save up for

At most I would consider a mini-split. It's a total waste to cool the entire house just for one room.

I remember my weather station recording 93.5 on thursday, and some crazy thunderstorms tore through massachusetts that night since the dew point got so high, 77 according to the weather. Coming back from a wedding we went through heavy rain and I saw the actual bolts of lightning nearby.

The highest I saw in the shaded parts of the yard was 88. It was the high humidity levels that made it feel so bad.

Plants are doing well from the looks of things. Also Sunny and dry to dark and very wet

All the plants are doing exceptionally well this year, this Spring had favorable growing conditions.
