I LOVE the chillis i only hear chillis best music ..... i cant live without i know in 1994 i was 6 years old =) i heared UNDER the Bridge in the radio at this time i loved this band !!!!!!!!!!!!! i want so much that i was bor 20 years earlyer
i figure some chili pepper fans will be interested cuz i was always searching for a band that had this type of sound and energy. 2 good bands that sound like old school chili peppers are: 24-7 spyz, and living colour. theyre both black bands and they were probably inspired by rhcp. if you listen to the song "spyz dope" by 24-7 spyz it has a line very similar to a line in this song.
hey man im 14 and I have been into the old peppers for like three years now. I think they were great then and they are great now. just because they have changed doesnt mean they are bad you just need to appreciate what they are doing these days.
a quarter of a century ago.. one of the sweetest rhcp videos... gotta love the way anthony rushes in on stage love you guys; was twelwe when blood sugar sex magik came out but still remember that day; i think the best thing i have to say about rhcp is that they influenced me as much as jimi. that's rare. their influence, that is the influence from the early rhcp, i believe, is yet to be felt in future
@HispanicImpression maybe your right that depends on your tastes, but they still got the funk element to their songs, like by the way and minor thing. but its more melodic now. but i guess it just comes with age too. but theyve covered a wide spectrum of rock music, theyre legends
Two different kettle of fish my friend, early bungle does resemble Chilis, but Mr bungle also kept going in different directions, fusing Jazz, Death Metal, Surf Rock funk and more. They also had more musicians and would be considered experimental/avant garde looking back through their albums.
@TheAlmostGod888 hmm you discriped the magic of the red hot chili peppers:P, have you ever tried the ukulele, i saw the ukulele ocherstra of great britan doing smells like teen spirit and psycho killer. it is very funny to watch it.
The drummer is Cliff Martinez. I'll give you a history lesson. The original Chili Peppers were Flea, Anthony, Hillel, and Jack. When the Chili Peppers got a record deal, Jack and Hillel left to go back to there other band What Is This? while Flea decided to stay in the Chili Peppers. For the Chili Peppers first album, Flea, Anthony, Jack Sherman, and Cliff Martinez played. The Chili Peppers did better in record sales so only Hillel came back.
c'est leur toute premiere chanson. celle que flea et anthony on fait a l'ouverture du concert de leurs potes sans aucune repetition .... I love that!!!
Cliff was fired in 1986, then Jack Irons took his place. What you see behind the drums right now is Cliff. Cliff was playing in Freaky Styley, along with Hillel. Read more stuff.
Freaky Styley was made in 1985 and the Chili Peppers toured in 1985 thorugh 1986 promoting Freaky Styley. This concert was in 1985. So it's Jack Irons came back in 1987 and they made The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and so on with the Chili Peppers career.
Hillel Slovak is the most underrated guitar player ever.
I still say Hillel is one of the best and most revolutionary rhythm players of all time. He just has so many sick grooves.
u totaly right

This was the first song written, but not their first performance.

A personal favorite for me along with Police Helicopter, Get Up and Jump, and Green Heaven.
a quarter of a century ago.. one of the sweetest rhcp videos... gotta love the way anthony rushes in on stage

Holy shit, Slovak was amazing. He plays so clean it sounds like a studio version. That guitar riff goes so well with the song, it's seamless.
Just found out I'm going to college in LA! Can't wait to be out in LA!
awesome thanks
im from germany :P
Always was the first song of the show!!!
They're so good live:D
@HispanicImpression maybe your right that depends on your tastes, but they still got the funk element to their songs, like by the way and minor thing. but its more melodic now. but i guess it just comes with age too. but theyve covered a wide spectrum of rock music, theyre legends
The Uplift Mofo Party plan was Jack's first album. But he also played on the early demo's.
I love flea's custom Stingray bass ! :D
If i coluld go back in time,i would jump like a maniac on this concert:D They where great back then!! Better than studio version!

Anyone know what bass that is
This song is SO much better live :D
i think this is one of flea's coolest performances to date...even though its a short solo.
Awesome!!
Two different kettle of fish my friend, early bungle does resemble Chilis, but Mr bungle also kept going in different directions, fusing Jazz, Death Metal, Surf Rock funk and more. They also had more musicians and would be considered experimental/avant garde looking back through their albums.
JF was probably on the audience, at the time he used to be RHCP's biggest fan out there :)
This song is probably the funkiest piece of music ever written. I mean it just forces you into this trance its so fucking intense.
@TheAlmostGod888 hmm you discriped the magic of the red hot chili peppers:P, have you ever tried the ukulele, i saw the ukulele ocherstra of great britan doing smells like teen spirit and psycho killer. it is very funny to watch it.
i always see a big difference between their studio versions and their live performances... that means they are god damn great

@voula1111
It is Hillel Slovak. We can recognize him !
Great song even though it´s old.
ive noticed that leather jacket anthony talks about and i love his book scar tissue
im there biggest fan and i think they also should bring back the funk in there music but there still amazing
Could very well be! Flea recently commented that w/out Hillel he would be nothing!
c'est leur toute premiere chanson. celle que flea et anthony on fait a l'ouverture du concert de leurs potes sans aucune repetition .... I love that!!!
Cliff was fired in 1986, then Jack Irons took his place. What you see behind the drums right now is Cliff.

It's just an aggressive shake but his bar is set up so that it floats. The bar can be pulled up as well as pushed down.

Anthony hasn't aged a day. He's still ridiculously good looking. :O
ROCK OUT!!
Was still expecting Anthony to shout ''YOU BETTER BE BURNIN' SHERMAN!' before the solo, lol
and one of their best, specially when it's extra fast tempo
30 years of RHCP. *O* TODAY, 13/02/13
Sooo dope.
The early RHCP were so much better then the after-1995-RHCPs ...
