Glad you enjoyed the recorders and great to see you do a thorough review of them. Of all the recorders in my collection I became very fond of those 2 models due to their build quality and high quality (for microcassette anyways) AC bias recording. Most cheaper microcassette recorders only have DC bias recording circuits (similar to cheap cassette recorders) and they have a very harsh sibilant sound to them. Hope they come in handy for your field recording projects Joe! -Mitchell
I have wanted one of these my whole life. There was an electronics store called Leachmere in New England when I was a kid. They had an l200 and I wanted so bad. I had lots of micro cassette recorders but they stopped making this model by the time I could afford it. It’s the reason I buy every gold colored product I can find because it reminds me of it. I just ordered one on eBay. It’s broken and I heard they were delicate. For years I couldn’t find it on google because I forgot the make and model. But wow. I can’t wait to get even the broken one. I’ll buy a bunch of broken ones and a working one so I can keep one running for the rest of my life.
Hello Joe, how are you I really enjoy your videos Could you please be kind and let me know if this device is metal or plastic? indeed appreciate your answer
Hi Joe, The tape recorder just arrived home, very nice little recorder. I'm on a project recording family and friends on the telephone, our daily conversation from long distance from Europe, specially London and Italy. My mum lives in Italy. The microphone input is quite small I guess it would need an adapter right well ,which one? Also which microphone would be good for this recorder. Thank you very much Joe Regards mate :-)

Hmmn, I'd be carrying that Olympus around for impromptu recording. Dang handy size, that. (:
I love the L200
