Hi, I spoke with Turf landlord, and the Wales & USA flags are due to them playing each other in the recent World Cup. I did take along a Canadian flag 🇨🇦 but I was told all flags are coming down. So Draig Drone had his pic with the flag near the end of the video. 👍
Many thanks Rob. Unfortunately a representative at the club thinks otherwise despite the drone work being within the realms of the Civil Aviation Authority guidelines. Following two rather unprofessional phone calls from the club, I am told a letter is being sent to me. I am unsure what the letter will contain, but as I am within the law with the dronework I shall publicly share any contents I deem unreasonable.
@@DDV1 Keep em coming mate .im sure you are flying within the regs (why wouldn't you be nowadays) if the club keep whining at you. have a word with Mr Reynolds and Co..
Well that sucks DDV 🙄 Obviously do carry on 👍😁 Sounds like someone @WxhAFCofficial is forgetting or doesn't know CAA rules. Streaming stuff for Netflix 🤷
@@DDV1 My hunch is that Rob & Ryan will side with the people, all of whom value your efforts. Shutting you down defeats the club’s purpose of building transparent collaboration with the fanbase. Rather than assuming that ‘Welcome to Wrexham: Season Two’ might somehow be compromised by your work, the opposite is true. You’re throwing more light on the scene.
@@DDV1 What is the mystery bureaucrat thinking? Aside from a possible business motive, too Byzantine for public consumption, there are no good reasons for denying us the excitement of watching change at the Kop in real time. For anyone paying attention to North Walian sensibilities, the Kop stood as a national treasure. Generations of miners and their families gathered there in song. An intense zeitgeist of belonging centers on a space that is as much about the nation’s sense of self as Owen Glyndwr and the mother tongue. For these reasons, it feels as though resistance to the drone footage stems from someone’s failure to understand the Kop’s profound symbolism and importance within the general public. North Walians can’t accept the Kop’s disappearance without thorough archival work carried out, ideally with the blessings of the club. It’s a spiritual thing. It’s a Celtic thing. To rip the Kop down without due reverence almost feels like the Romans cutting down an oak grove on Anglesey. If the work is to be carried out without us seeing, it feels sacrilegious. My guess is that one of the non-Welsh executives has revealed his/her cultural blind spot. These executives are all vital players in the club’s progress. We're grateful for their expertise, and Rob & Ryan appointed them with unerring wisdom, but no Welsh person would thwart Draig Drone Video when it comes to honoring the past. Bureaucratic bloody-mindedness can be a helpful thing, but not now, not here.
I don’t comment or subscribe to a lot of things. But I’ve watched all of your videos now. Thank you so much for documenting the changes coming to the racecourse grounds. Keep the videos coming. Hope to visit when the renovations are complete. Cheers.
Great to see Kop #6 drop so soon after Kop #5! This is priceless archival footage that global fans like me crave more of. We can’t just drive by and look over the fence, but every kid in a Wrexham shirt around the world will be glued to the screen.
Not stood on there since the 70s! - drove down Crispin Lane the other weekend on an infrequent visit home just to see the changes. Hope they make it back up this time around
In truth we should show solidarity with the whole club and its players. For instance have smaller flags on the boarding representing the nationalities of the playing staff, backroom and office staff etc....
Nice overheads. I wonder what the planning permission is like for the quadrants either side of the University End Stand? Easy another 1500 available there. Then it would be bigger than Brentfords and Bournemouths!
I stood on the kop from 1984 when I started watching the town it's sad and emotional to see the old girl disappear 😭 but progress has to be done to take the club forward I had some great memories of standing on the kop which can never be taken from me. U.T.S.T.🏴🏴
They built em different back in the day look at all that soil.. I remember the old Witton End at Villa when i was a kid.. it was just loads of concrete terracing. and crush barriers on top of a massive mound of dirt. ha ha
From a press release today! “Accepting this condition now, allows the Kop works to progress and remain on schedule to be completed prior to the commencement of the 2024/25 season” 🏴 🇨🇦
well done chap ,not telling u how to sucks eggs,am sure u will get more land level videos, could take a leaf out of that well know chap [ y tuber doing the liverpool rebuild ] well check back with u ,enjoy u self ,i have subcribed with you cheers
The pride you Wrexham faithful have to be feeling right now! Hopefully, your team can when promotion outright this season
Hopefully so… it’s been a long time coming..: Back to the football league 🤞
Agreed...definitely not a case of if, but when!
Should be a Canadian flag on the boarding. Keep the vids coming. They're great!

@@DDV1 thanks for the representation 👍🏻
Really nice to see someone properly recording the changes to a wonderful football ground for future generations of fans to see.
Well done!!

@@jamesroberts4433 Racecourse should be what, 16000 after the stand is completed?
Capacity will be just over 16000 when kop stand completed.

That claw really looks like a living, thinking animal trying to figure the best way to dismember the support structure!!!
When do they expect completion, I'm hoping to visit from Canada in Sept?
Cheers, Kevin

They appear to be cultivating cannabis on the pitch.
Gotta make enough to entice Bale into coming back to Wales for an encore somehow!
