- Gwen gives an honest product review of Sugar Me Smooth brand body wax. Sugaring wax has been around FOR. EVER. It is non-toxic, water soluble, and zero waste. And you can make it at home.
Wanna make it at home? This is a great recipe (not a sponsor or affiliate, it just works really well)

I love how gentle you are with your cat. Some people shoo and push their pets around, not very nice to see. Thanks for the review!
He's the most handsome boy
Dorian does as he pleases
I really appreciate this because it really simplifies the process for me and is very realistic about what to expect in terms of pain and all that ❤️
thanks for this! i’ve only seen ads for this product so it was nice to see a ~real~ person demonstrating it
I just got mine gave it a try and was struggling bad. From watching this video I could tell what I was doing wrong. Thank you!
You are very welcome!
I just saw an add for this and tried looking for a demo and I'm glad I saw this because written instructions are hard to follow for me. Hopefully I can get the hang of it. Also your cat is so big and adorable
I hope it helps!! Dorian is the most handsome :D
It is definitely trial and error for a first timer!! I’m still getting the hang of it, but i can wax both legs in under 10 minutes! Definitely a little time consuming in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it it’s so easy and is way better than shaving!!
Thanks! This is awesome. Shaving causes a lot of pain with my skin, so I've been thinking about other ways to wax myself. I think imma try it.
You're making me realize that the reason I have a hard time with this is because I'm not using enough!!
Oh yeah, goop it on! Temperature makes a difference too, don't give up!
Thank you for doing this! I was interested, but unsure about investing! Definitely going to try now!
I've never had experience with wax or sugaring before, but I did just buy this and try it. I think since I'm new to the whole idea, it was a lot harder for me to get the hang of. I gave up after half my leg and just shaved the rest, but I can imagine there is a learning curve lol you make it look so easy. The only area that was really sensitive for me was my tattoo, it even got a little swollen, but I also have extremely sensitive skin. Other than that, I do like this product. I hope I'm able to get the hang of it!
It is tricky starting out, I used to make my own sugaring wax so I had the benefit of already going through the trial and error phase.
My top tips are:
1. Use less than you think you need
2. If you are prone to sweating, dust on some body powder first in a very thin layer
3. It's all in the wrist action!
Thanks for your review! Instagram has been trying to get me to buy it for months 🤣
Glad I could help!
I appreciate this review! I just might get it...
Thank you! I just ordered mine and I’m scared but this helped a lot!! Again thank you!!
Thank you! I hope it goes well! If you have questions feel free to ask!
So this is what goes on when I'm not home. Haha
Thank you!!!!! This was soooo helpful.
Thank you! I try my best to do a realistic review
She’s adorable!
Thank you so much! I might buy this :)
My mom has been using sugar wax on the Rez for as long as I can remember she makes it too .
so helpful! thank you!
Very helpful💕
I try my best, thank you!
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been trying to figure out how to warm it but seems like you warm it using body heat. I’ve read maybe using a microwave for a few seconds
Be careful with the microwave, it does not heat evenly and you can get some really really hot areas. I would suggest if you need to heat it up to put some in a container in boiling water for a minute or two to get even heating.
After I spread it, it doesn’t harden. Do you think I’m doing something wrong?
It shouldn't harden after spreading, it will stay a thick honey like consistency. It will be runny and hard to use if it is too hot in the room or you yourself are too warm.
HELP What am I doing wrong??! When I pull it doesn’t all come off at once 😭
You may be putting too much on, I find that if you put it on too thick it won't all come off/won't remove the hair or if it spreads out wider than the applicator card you have to go back and flick that area separately to get it to come off. Hope that helps!!
Does the waxes leg really last up to 6-8 wks?
The more often you wax the longer the results last. I had regrowth from this demo in about a week and a half.
@@StuffLab did you get any ingrown hairs?
@@hatecraft278 I did not, I have never gotten one from body waxing
What I’m wondering is, what do you do with the wax once you have used it and finished the process? Do you put it back in the jar with the hair on it?
As long as you're not sharing the wax jar with anyone you certainly can reuse wax if it still has life left in it. Seems gross but it's not going to hurt anything.
Do not! That's disgusting 😂. A jar of wax would last you for months.
This is very helpful! I do have some questions- does it bruise your legs? And have you tried it on your bikini area?
I have not had any issues with bruises on my legs, but armpits and bikini line make sure you pull the skin real tight or it will yank on your skin really hard instead of just the hairs and you will have bruises and a half finished job.
That is a massive cat!
Dorian is a big kitty, a little over 12 pounds of handsome!
Woolies and nakeds lmao
Next time take the plastic off the lid first and it'll be easier to open.
Good call!
Sugar me smooth is one of thr worst products I have bought, ads are extremely misleading
