When my dog was faced with her first firework experience, I knew it could be distressing for her so I spent the entire night being excited and playing with her so that eventually it was nothing more than background noise that she didn't care about. I said things like "what's that" just like I would if I was introducing her to anything new and then proceeded to give her a positive experience despite the noise. I think it helps when training your dog in new experiences to keep it positive and offer plenty of rewards for positive behaviour. In this case looking at fireworks and then coming to play was rewarded as she wasn't trying to guard against them. That was 7 years ago and since then she hasn't batted an eyelid on nights when the sky gets loud. As a pet parent sometimes you have to sacrifice your time and comfort to give them the time and comfort they need to adjust to certain situations but it is rewarding in the end. The time and effort you put into training really does pay off in the end, like I said, mine isn't phased by fireworks anymore and now we can enjoy lazy nights at the window watching everyone else's fireworks displays 🌞👍
My dog was so chill for the first 6 years. Fireworks were no bother, slept right through them (or ear twitched if it was the illegal ones that are super loud). But year 7 things changed, and he's slowly gotten worse. At almost 11 he now has to have meds. Be aware that firework sensitivity can change ♥

No amount of inventory space except straight up creative mode will ever fix Tangos problem. It's not the amount of different items that he needs (like sb doing crazy detailed builds with gradients and stuff), it's the streamer brain. He is all over the place, one eye glued to the chat, he usually doesn't notice half of the items he doesn't need but still has in his inventory. What he really needs is A: better focus on the game or B: a quick-stack function like in Terraria (when you open a chest you have several buttons on the side, to drop all your items in, take out all the items or to quick-stack every item, that is present in your inventory AND the chest, from your inventory into the chest. You can lick items out from those functions by marking them as favourites. That would help him, more space won't xD It's just like those super motorways with 16 lanes... But the traffic jams only ever get worse, the more lanes you add. XD

You could test using a hopper minecart under the log to collect everything from the shroomlight farm (using the quick break mechanic to unload it), timed to do a pass inbetween explosions. Basically make the water on the sides converge the items on top of the log and release the hopper minecart under it. You might need to waterlog the rails to prevent them from exploding which will slow down the cart but might still be worth it
Personally I wish firework day was at least JUST firework day and not multiple days surrounding it of fireworks randomly all night. It turns into firework week. Especially even with my dog not really freaking out like other dogs, when my little siblings were very little, like one of them was a baby, and it doesn’t let anyone get proper sleep all week with books going off past bedtime throughout the week Edit: and as a side note, in central/northern California where I am the amount of fires is ridiculous. And since I’m late to this vid, it’s now the day before the 4th and the temp is near 120, with weather warnings and fire risk for the entire week and people have already been setting fireworks the previous nights
I have photosensitivity and I like the lights in the factory chute. Maybe just put up a sign as you’re going in that you can look at (for viewers) every time you go down? Or import some map art that has an easier to read warning? I know you guys are opposed to imported map art but if there’s any valid reason to do it it would be for accessibility
Perhaps he could have a pressure plate before the drop shaft that triggers a tone that gets played so that those who are really photosensitive can look away and then another at the bottom so that they know they can look back.
I don’t even have a sensitivity but I’ve started to pay attention to when he’ll go down and I look away or close my eyes, not sure why it bothers me but even though the effect of moving fast is a cool idea it feels too bright. Yes, Down and under the water stream. Then back up along the back wall, inside the blast area. I think this is what @olmstead25 meant, but wanted to clarify. I think even one of the twitch commenters said it, but Tango understood it to mean up the outside of the back wall (or something). But inside the back wall should allow the TNT to explode the wood, and be less likely to collect exploded lights. Keep up the great work Tango. I really enjoy seeing the farms that do things just outside the box. Farms that focus on being fun rather than being super efficient. I also like seeing you tweak and even struggle with your own designs rather than copying the same old farm designs.
Maybe piston feed tape the stems to the side of the farm and make them build up a wall from the side right in front of the crying obsidian wall (where the shroom blocks are pushed towards). The wall would build up slower and be exploded with the rest while giving the least amount of surface for things to land on. The creation of the wall would be similar to what grian did with the stems. Just vertically and only one row instead of the big block. This way you shouldn't need to rebuild so much. Anyhow, always fun with you. Take care. Also, glad to see you do more non work things. You matter
One way to deal with this would be to have the TNT below the collection area and launch it upwards with slime blocks. I did this before and while it blew up a lot of times before I got the timing right (did it with TNT duping, which didn't make things easier), but then no items would get stuck because you blew up the things that could get in the way.
The timing doesn't need to be that precise. I actually just tried it and dispensing the TNT instead of duping makes it far easier. Not much different from dropping it.
If merging the block streams is the problem, you could just build 3 blast chambers. The tnt efficiency would be the same as with one blast chamber, as they would just explode less often.
Wouldn't you be able to snake the stems under the explosion platform and then have it pillar upwards through the ceiling? There would be 1 (or 2 if you split it) pillars moving up. Which would drastically reduce the spaces the blocks can land on. Might have to change some of the water currents, but that way you wouldn't have to increase your TNT usage. Hopefully I explained it well enough :P
Hey @tangotek, if you loop through logs around back into the chamber you have 10’ish more log retention, and they will blow up with the tnt. Machine will pause less EDIT: nevermind, push distance as you explained later in the vod.
1:25:57 have the water run over the logs like you imagined, then use a row of sticky pistons to push all the logs up out of the water just in time get explodificated. The items would have all the time in the world to flow over the logs between explosions.
That was my thought with the logs but then you don't get a higher shroom light per TNT. Its a tough balance. As I only watch the VODs lately, its hard to chime on live tango but easiest, if he was to make the stream out to where ever is build a separate TNT chamber that makes the logs into a line. (which it does) then makes those 6 high. Then the lot gets pushed into a blast area. As per my early season on servers, one TNT = somewhere on the low end of 22 logs, high end 34. The average out over a season to 32 with all that servers have to deal with. Simple answer. Not a solution that Tango wants for the amount of TNT he has to obtain for the amount of shroom lights. (pause = bad)

Aren't you currently wasting 12 to 13 bonemeal every time the line of logs jams. That's significantly hurting the self sufficiency of the system. I would definitely move the line down below so that it doesn't pause. You would gain the additional shroom lights and bonemeal material that you lose to the logs, and reduce the amount of bonemeal you waste.
Just watched this great video. Not sure if you've figured it out yet as I haven't got to your next streams, but I think I have a solution. If you move the water collection up one block, then place a piston (pushing upwards) directly under the stem as it comes out of the weeping obsidian, it would push the stem up the side of the obsidian for it to be blown up with the stem. As the column above the stem is pure obsidian, there's no shroomlights or other blocks to stop it. This piston could be powered be an observer watching the stem block (from beneath) immediately next to the obsidian on the other side (i.e just before it's pushed through it) then the redstone can run under the obsidian. The pistol should not blow up up as it'd be protected by the water or stem above (depending on whether the stem hits the push limit of the piston) but if it is, use a sticky pistol and set it one block lower with a single block of netherite above.
Might consider using a hopper minecart loop to distribute the items into the composter hoppers more evenly instead of just letting it fill the first and go to the second, etc. I had that issue during titancraft season....7 I think? Made a kelp farm and it just shoveled out the kelp so I turned it all into bonemeal with a setup like what you have now....and I would end up with one or two composters not doing anything.

About items getting stuck in hoppers: It's only a problem if the items were falling down into water above the hopper. They have a very slow tendency to float up, so if they are just going sideways like in a waterstream above hoppers, they won't get stuck.
Actually, your Lady has a really good point! I’ve been wondering about the chest situation for a while! Why are the chests not coloured according to the wood they are made of! Of course, the inventory needs a better system (even just the sorting system by items would be amazing!), but has a builder/decor focused, I think coloured chests would be quite nice to have!
A fixed inventory update could also include wood-specific chests/barrels, pipes and pumps. The entire update focused around managing items to and from the inventory while providing a few aesthetic updates as well that are directly tied to inventory. That said, I have no idea what the fix for vanilla inventory would be aside from increasing the volume. Maybe the ability to equip a stone cutter-type item that lets you keep only the base form of each block in your inventory while being able to place all of its variants? Toggle through options like stairs and walls with like shift-scroll or a new hotkey?
I played wow beta as well! Playing a rogue and pvp’ing in the bay was some awesome fun. I mained an alliance druid then a horde mage. I came from Everquest which was a different beast altogether, world spawns not instanced was brutal and quad kiting was such fun.
Fun fact: I adopted a little brown dog named Zelda a while ago. She was scared of everything and wouldn't even let us pet her most days. However, when it came to fireworks and thunder, she never reacted. She just acted like they weren't happening. It was strange to see a dog scared of the wind act so nonchalant about fireworks.
Probably wont be seen by him but for the composter for even distributions, send the items through a couple hoppers that go into a chest boat, and then a bunch of hoppers under the chest boat, i know for sure you can do at least 4 hoppers under that way you will have even distribution. and maximising bonemealification

what if you have item filters with stacks of 41 warped nylium blocks in them with overflow protection and you run it from the filter into the composters. not sure if it would fix the distribution problem but it might
Tree farm improvement: How about a dispenser dropping a small burst of water on the logs in between the TNT drops, to flush off items before the blast?
just watched the entire vod and didnt hear anyone suggest this you could just push the nylium block up with a sticky piston after the rest of the logs are moved out of the way and since nether trees can grow regardless of the blocks around them it wouldnt be an issue
The only thing that makes sense to me, is to have the warped stem go up come out on the top and staggered into two groups this will slow down how fast the warp stand comes out and Stop the warp stem from being under all the shroom lights

Why did Tango do the compostification so complicated? Wouldn‘t it be easier to bring the nether leaves (I always forget their name) to the start of the already existing compost line, make it a bit longer and close it at the end to avoid overshooting Items?
Its not "more complicated". he made it more complicated because of how he used the water flow but as he said, its easier to keep them in one place. Plus the old one was already over flowing. It was sounding like tango wanted to run both of these machines at the same time. So no matter how that went with the nether trees, it was always going to be 100% to much

I think the thing I’d most like from Minecraft is, um, a fixed inventory system.

Why not just stop pushing new stuff out until after you’ve done both explosions?

Push up the logs and switch the tnt make the higher explosion in the logs and the lower explosion in other side

Of course, the inventory needs a better system (even just the sorting system by items would be amazing!), but has a builder/decor focused, I think coloured chests would be quite nice to have!
A fixed inventory update could also include wood-specific chests/barrels, pipes and pumps. The entire update focused around managing items to and from the inventory while providing a few aesthetic updates as well that are directly tied to inventory.
That said, I have no idea what the fix for vanilla inventory would be aside from increasing the volume. Maybe the ability to equip a stone cutter-type item that lets you keep only the base form of each block in your inventory while being able to place all of its variants? Toggle through options like stairs and walls with like shift-scroll or a new hotkey?
I played wow beta as well! Playing a rogue and pvp’ing in the bay was some awesome fun. I mained an alliance druid then a horde mage. I came from Everquest which was a different beast altogether, world spawns not instanced was brutal and quad kiting was such fun.
Fun fact: I adopted a little brown dog named Zelda a while ago. She was scared of everything and wouldn't even let us pet her most days. However, when it came to fireworks and thunder, she never reacted. She just acted like they weren't happening. It was strange to see a dog scared of the wind act so nonchalant about fireworks.

Probably wont be seen by him but for the composter for even distributions, send the items through a couple hoppers that go into a chest boat, and then a bunch of hoppers under the chest boat, i know for sure you can do at least 4 hoppers under that way you will have even distribution. and maximising bonemealification
Couldn’t you raise the platform and push the logs across under the water and then use a piston from underneath, where it’ll be safe, to push them upwards along the crying obsidian wall?
what if you have item filters with stacks of 41 warped nylium blocks in them with overflow protection and you run it from the filter into the composters. not sure if it would fix the distribution problem but it might

How about a dispenser dropping a small burst of water on the logs in between the TNT drops, to flush off items before the blast?

you could just push the nylium block up with a sticky piston after the rest of the logs are moved out of the way and since nether trees can grow regardless of the blocks around them it wouldnt be an issue
The only thing that makes sense to me, is to have the warped stem go up come out on the top and staggered into two groups this will slow down how fast the warp stand comes out and Stop the warp stem from being under all the shroom lights

Why did Tango do the compostification so complicated? Wouldn‘t it be easier to bring the nether leaves (I always forget their name) to the start of the already existing compost line, make it a bit longer and close it at the end to avoid overshooting Items?
Its not "more complicated". he made it more complicated because of how he used the water flow but as he said, its easier to keep them in one place. Plus the old one was already over flowing.
It was sounding like tango wanted to run both of these machines at the same time. So no matter how that went with the nether trees, it was always going to be 100% to much

Im not advanced red stoner/ TnT-er so i don't know some things im sure.
