You forgot to mention Sir Mix-A-Lot was born in Seattle. Plus Bruce & Brandon Lee are buried at Lake View Cemetery in Seattle. Seattle Also has a strong underground Heavy Metal scene. Oh and Redmond is the headquarters of Nintendo of America. Literally right down the street from the Microsoft headquarters campus.
@@NickJohnson Yes and no. I like how green it is here but it does rain too much for my liking. During fall and winter it can be very gloomy around here but the seasons go through cycles. You can have a summer, like we did this past summer, where it doesn't rain at all between June and September. There is no shortage of things to do around here but there is something called the Seattle freeze. Of course there are exceptions to this rule but the majority of people in this area like to stick to their own social groups. Dating here can be problematic. I'm originally from New Mexico but I've spent time living in Arizona, Texas, Nevada, and California and people tend to be more socially open in those places. I could be wrong but I blame it on a concentration of self-righteous liberal hipsters. When I was young I used to think of myself as a liberal but ever since the 2016 election I am full conservative. TRUMP 2020!!!!
The state is very much 2 very different regions and peoples as you described for sure. You have the dessert/county blue collar folks on the EASTERN half and then once you reach the dividing mountaini range in the middle you will find the luscious/wet/rainforrest'esqe gentrified hipster/white collared city slickers to the WEST. Also A large majority of older people or baby boomers always seem to add a very hard R when pronouncing WA (Warrshington) for some reason lol its pretty funny tho and hard not to snicker or crack a smile when talking to someone who might use this version of the word! Thought Id share that Im from Eastern Cougar Country, known as Tri-Cities WA and its pretty amazing here although some call it the DRY-SHITTIES lol! Thoroughly enjoyed your video it was informative and entertaining, well done and keep up the great work GOD bless Carnal!!

So funny, I spent six weeks in Seattle in the Queen Anne district working on a healthcare audit project and I was umbrella shamed. in 2013 I went out one day walking along the side walk with my umbrella and the people spread out from me like the red sea. They did not want to get hit in the head with my umbrella when the wind whipped up. It was so funny. Tourist pro tip - use a hood, no umbrella. LOL

Do your internet research. There is a large variety , UNLESS you need to be near Seattle. Further away from Seattle, in general, the less expensive. But realtors will be glad to inform you with a simple phone call.
It's either live near anything like a grocery store and entertainment and pay your life away. Or SLIGHTLY cheaper and the nearest grocery store is no less than 30 mins if you're lucky.

sounds...rainy? i do like snow though. is it deep snow or light snow?
@@NickJohnson very light snow or some winters no snow. Just rain.
Yeah it sometimes snows in December, but not all the time, it sometimes snows between January and March
West WA weather.
Winter: Rain. Rain. Week of snow(Ice). Rain.
Spring: Rain. 1 week of sun in April.
Summer: Rain. HOT IN AUGUST.
Fall: Rain. Freezing on Halloween.
😄🤣 i thought you were over selling Washington and was a littls frustrated about all the people who will move here. Until you got to the fault line earth quake and tsunamis and Volcans👍 social interaction issues, depression, rain, gloom 👍 great video! Made me laugh and its very accurate.
How did you know I love Kombucha and my family drives a Subaru?!
Good points!
Do you like Washington Sean?
@@NickJohnson I live in Everett Washington by the way. About 30 minutes north of Seattle.
Jimi Hendrix is also from Seattle.
Hey! What's Camal?
The only time I hear the R in Washinton is people from certain ares of the county. I worked with the senior and elderly public and my experience does not align with your assessment on that.
Nick…. I’ve lived in E Washington since 1994, just recently moved to the west side of the mountains… in Bremerton. There’s def a difference in culture on both sides of the Cascades. I appreciated this vid, but I wish you would’ve focused more on Yakima.
LOL
"But do you think of islands? Deserts? Volcanoes?"
Yes. I live here. lol
Nice information bro❤️❤️❤️❤️ America is so great and beautiful ✌️
"I went from phoenix az all the way to tacoma," best twenty years of my life.
They say Mount Rainier can be seen from Paulina Crater.Probably not from near Sparks Lake.
Koala bears? lol
What’s with the shot of Mercado de San Miguel? That’s in Madrid. It just also happens to be a clip of people waking in rain?
yes :)
I'm looking to relocate from NM/CO and am looking at the Vancouver area. I didn't see where you talked about that area, any input would be appreciated! Thanks :)
It’s pretty nice & fairly close to Olympia & Portland .
Bad time to be relocating to a state and area that is having problems. Portland nearby looks like a trash heap with homeless littering and vandalizing buildings and the freeways. You really wanna live that close to something like that? Be my guest.
The Richter Scale went off because Marshawn Lynch went into beast mode that day.
Debating to move to Washington or Colorado
You basically made a video about Sesttle. We are so much more than just Seattle. You should redo this video.
Seattle is so great though
This makes me laugh. So much more to Eastern WA.
Also, near the end when you made a joke saying that Russell Wilson might’ve ran in for another score, I think you meant Rebel Wilson.
He meant marshawn lynch. It was him that ran the ball for a touchdown against the new orleans saints in the playoffs in like 09 or something that caused the fans to cheer in that way.
The opening said you think of earthquakes. I have lived in Washington my whole life 9of 16 years) and have only ever experienced one minor earthquake in 2019.
Washington is the ONLY state that has all seven climate zones. I am a Washington native but had to leave because I couldn’t afford to live there when I retired. And yes, now I get very tired of clarifying that I am from Washington STATE not DC.
8:00 i feel this as a Washington resident
As a Brit, I don't know how accurate your Unboxing vids are. But I sure enjoy 'em.
They're the most accurate representation of each state you'll ever find
@@NickJohnson Even if you say so yourself. 😁 Keep them coming, sir.
Thank you so much for mentioning Long Beach Washington my home
Holy crap! The Space Needle can withstand the "Big One"!? Ha! Only one way to find out! That fault line is due to cause a big earthquake within the next 10-50 years! Maybe more, if we're lucky!
I love these unboxing state videos. Awesome
I hope you learn something Lilia
I want to move to Washington i have lived in Michigan for about 11 years now and I'm wanting a change of scenery it looks so beautiful over there and the winters aren't as bad as in Michigan I'm just afraid of the cost of living compared to Michigan I hear its expensive to live there unless you have decent money or a really good job
Thank you. That was very informative.
Ok
I live in Washington State, up in the Islands. You should do a video about the Islands. 😉
Sean Juans?
Live in Washington. It's a great area to live. The earthquake is a scary thought though.
Can you do Kentucky? I think that would be interesting
Eventually 😉
That cowboy clip was from Fort Worth Texas...
11:08 he says KOALA bears live in Eastern Washington? LOL... we've been trolled.
When he started talking about the disasters I was done🤣🤣
I’m 16 and I’ve never experienced a earthquake that was substantial in any regard. Is that abnormal?
Yes, see your doctor right away. LOL
Lifelong Washingtonian here and I have to say that, although I'm sure a good amount of this video is meant to be satire, I find the underlying snobby attitude towards our state really off-putting.
Were quite snobby/passive aggressive here.
i enjoy your videos, however, at 9:21 as you mentioned seattle i believe you were showing spokane & how did you manage to mispronounce 'gonzaga'? the seahawks have changed quarterbacks
I Live in Orting and it's like right next to mount Rainier
I live in California and my mom wants to move to washington in a yr or 2.
well hey, if you need a realtor, let me know. Im from the area.
Former Californian here. It depends al great deal on what you and your mom like and dislike. You could each love it or hate it. I love it but everyone IS differnent.
this video makes me want to not move to washington which I've always fond of.
It's a great place Seattle is just drama
What are your other choices Jason?
Olympia doesn't have a view of the Olympic mtns. But seattle does, Olympia does have a great view of Mt. Rainier though
cool!
Beautiful State but quickly becoming overwhelmed with issues.
"Grab your coffee or kombucha"
*thinkin bout Greg getting fined for pouring kombucha into the washington wetlands*
The tongass rainforest is in Ketchikan Alaska which is part of the United States. So the hoh rainforest isn't the only one in the US
in seattle we’ll know you’re a tourist because you’re actually using an umbrella
Unless you see a tourist from Oregon, we won’t be using umbrellas either 😌
Dont forget to mention if you live in the Op or Olympic Pennisila if you want to drive to Seattle it cost almost $90 with gas and ferry cost a day
Koala Bears?! They are native to my country, Australia. 😂
Washington weather be like:
“Oh look it’s raining super hard”
*At Least 3 min later*
“How long have I been spacing out for... WHY IS IT SO SUNNY OUTSIDE?!?”
Ikr
💯
The weather in Washington can be described as 'erratic'.
So accurate
And depending on the time of year you could get; sun, snow, rain, sleet, hail, and gale force winds that knock down Widowmaker branches.
I live in Washington state and I would never move out of Washington
junior 549 same. I absolutely love it here!
Yeah buddy!!! I love it here to!! I would never ever move anny where else, even with how much weather we have, I love it!!
We're u guys from? Check out the Yakima area or it's valley. Overe 20 murderers this year. There was one today in Union gap as I comment here. A couple more these past few weeks. I'm packing heat everyday know When I'm out. It is getting bad. But I like it. It is a good Excuse for me to pack heavy artillery.😁 In my personal self or car. Just in case.
@@edgargrimaldo6665 up in Bellingham
@@braedonphillips2617 bet it is nice. I have Past threw there never visited.
Definitely no Koala bears in Washington State.
@Clown Town Bigfoot ate them all gone.
Please, Unboxing Vermont
We have apples, salmon, Starbuck coffee, Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing. Also, Sasquatch lives here in WA too.
I heard that and was like
U sure?
What about the Palm Springs of Washington? Lol
But on another note, Seattle def does not represent all of Washington.
Lotta folks don't understand that comment, but I've got a picture of the sign in my shop, never fails to make me laugh.
There are no Palm Springs in Washington
LOL Yakima
I get it. OMG. Crackima.
Hilda Romero - that’s part of the joke. There’s a controversial sign off I82 in Yakima calling it that.
ten minutes of this video just focused on western Washington with barely two minutes talking about eastern Washington. that is so accurate to how we feel here in the east. we're just as unimportant and forgotten as the homeless people on Seattle's streets.
No true everyone says this for political reasons. I grew up in Yakima and now live in Seattle. Many folks here would rather live in Eastern Washington, but because of work they live here.
great commertary
thanks for fixing us a solid repeseatnion of how it really is
I think Alaska has a rainforest too...Tongass National Rainforest
Agreed nothing about eastern Washington
I'm glad I lived in Seattle in the 70s and 80s when it was fun and affordable.
And mt helens went off...
Ted bundy was prowling them streets, though.
