Because of the poor refereeing in this area, players have to anticipate the foul and go down. It's now part of the professional game. (This is different from deliberate diving when you decide to make it look like there was contact.)
If you watch in a slower speed you can clearly see that he miss stepped and immediately got back up and chased the ball, obviously not diving to try and get a foul, but tripping and trying to make up for it
Joshua Burkhalter he didn’t lose his footing he dived, no one falls over like that if you slip or lose your footing. Kane does that every time when trying to get a foul call.
