Fantastic - thank you guys. Soul & Blues King - Yes Soul & Blues - very US but we.love it here too. John also performs these genres and you'll see more of that in his later years when I get up to them ❤🎉😊
Hey guys you’re right it’s not synced as the remastered sound was bounced using Dolby surround sound which adds a slight delay which can’t really be synced perfectly with the video footage I had from UA-cam (which was 240p)!! The video and audio were both very very low quality so this was really the best I could do without the original recording.
Hello, from Australia. Jimmy is certainly singing live…… This was back in 1984. The remaster work by Dr_Kap is extremely great. The song ended just before it had finished, and Jimmy’s final sentence is “oh, yes it is”. You were right, this is an American song, and is a cover done by Sam Cooke. This is from the very beginning of Jimmy’s solo career, when he released his first album, Bodyswerve, in 1984. The whole concert is 🔥 and is one I listen to at least once a week. It is on regular rotation. Here it is ua-cam.com/video/V5WUcC3QQtI/v-deo.htmlsi=EVxnDV_TSb6lh4pP Oh note, his sister Linda Barnes is one of the back up singers (the smaller one). The other female back up vocalist is Maggie McKenny. The guitarist with the white shirt is Mal Eastick, who is the lead guitarist for a band called Stars. The other guitarist is Chris Stockly, and on bass Bruce Howe. Ray Arnott was on drums.
@@kazz3956 like i said it was written and sung By Sam Cooke covered by many others but I'm not sure about Sam and Dave doin a cover of this though unless you're gettin your Sam's Cooke n Moore mixed up

A fantastic cover of Sam Cooke's great civil rights song from the 60's. Jimmy gives it everything.
