Kindered spirits!! I started my collection in 1983. First piece was a killer Bogoff set from the late 50s that made me feel like Elizabeth Taylor! I’ve been hoarding vintage ever since. Upwards of 5,000 pieces now (all in glass cases) that were painstakingly curated 1 by 1. I too remember every single purchase. Unfortunately I experienced a break in 10 years ago and they walked away with about a thousand items, all irreplaceable - some from as far back as the 1920s. I became a security freak after that. Cried for months about it. I really enjoyed your collection too. We have similar tastes and we own some of the same stuff…..like the molded silver cuff and the Whiting & Davis mesh snake belt/necklace/bracelets in black, gold and silver…. I have all 3. Would love to see more. Until then, I’ll be watching. Cheers
Museum shops are fab. You have obviously have never gone hungry. Please highlight jewelry artists such as Alexis Bitter and Chan Lu. Twist has been informative to me. Thanks much, you crack me up.
One thing that I have learned from you Carla is repeating color or texture and there is still more to learn! How can I rock my apron at HD and still look like a fashionista! That's a stretch isn't it!
Carol, please don't leave me hanging...i cannot for the life of me locate part 3????? Is there a part 3??? When is your jewelry coming out? These goddess earrings where are they? 🥰🥰
Most of my jewelry is fairly thin and understated, as that style is reflective of my personal fashion aesthetic. However, i picked up a GORGEOUS bejeweled silver snake bracelet in Newfoundland. Query: what should I do to dress down this extremely fancy piece?
Me: Can't remember why I went to the basement storage room, one minute after I decided to go there. Also me: remembers in extreme detail where and when I got every item of vintage clothing I own.
