You are absolutely worthy dude :) Great reaction video, thanks a lot for this one. And please yes, feel free to go through our "videography". We've got plenty of stuff you might want to check out!
I think this song exists just to troll every possible human being. The lyrics try to combine the contents from two genres that are completely opposite: one that uses lyrics about winter, darkness and Satanism, the other one sings about the Caribbean, parties and sexualizing women. If separate, both genres generate controversy in different groups of people. But combined, I believe it is the perfect balance of chaos. They are the greatest trolls.
Regarding "Esta vida loca / a mirar la foca / asando un salmòn / norwegian reggaeton", when they say "a mirar la foca" they refer to the title of a trashy italian comedy movie from the 70s entitled "Viva la foca, che Dio la benedoca" which is a self-censored way to say "viva la fica, che dio la benedica" (long live pussy, may god bless it), and changing the vowels fica becomes foca (seal) and benedica becomes benedoca which doesn't mean anything thereby revealing where the trick lays (that o's stand for i's and foca actually means fica). So "a mirar la foca" can refer to living your life with that summer vibe looking for pussy, and "asando un salmòn" might be related to it because of fish being tipically used, at least in italian but not only, as one of the animal references of choice for phallic symbolisms and innuendos, so probably asando un salmòn (and by the way asando sounds similar to the italian "alzando", raising) refers to an erection in reaction to having mirado la foca. It may be weird that they would put italian references that aren't really comprehensible abroad in the middle of lyrics written in another language, but then again they always did it, it's like "falegn-amen" in Valhalleluja, where 'amen' is fused with the italian 'falegname' which stands for 'carpenter'. They never prioritized being too comprehensible to their audience, they are super-spontaneous with their lyrics and after all they were born as a cover band of various metal classics with changed lyrics in italian and then they would make other songs about random nonsensical stuff and yet other songs that in order to be enjoyed, given the humongous amount of in-jokes and references, require you to be a nerdy superfan of Rhapsody, Manowar, Helloween and Blind Guardian. They just don't care and wanna have fun. Pleeease react to "And then I noticed that she was a gargoyle"! PS: By the way, the guy in the picture IS daddy yankee!
@@goodsideevilside Nobody with mental sanity would think that I guess, but since we're talking Nanowar they like to have fun that way hahah. I think it's likely only because of the context and meaning of the rest, mirar la foca asando un salmòn.. for an italian the 'foca' reference is unmistakeable, and if foca is pussy and the salmon is a fish.. it's bound to mean that, I think. It's like falegn-amen, you would think "wait this song is not just or mainly for italians, people will be confused by this and nobody will get the point", but they just don't care and do it anyway! :D so yeah I'd bet that's what they were thinking.

Hi! I'm from Argentina, and as an english teacher and italian transalator (and metalhead also) the spanish lyric is quite accurate at the salmon part. Not also rimes but also makes sense, also huge fan of Nanowar. Great review!
Hey guys! I'm actually from Spain, and the lyrics do make sense. They rhyme of course, but the reason for saying the salmon thing is that salmon is very typical and usual from Norway and nordic countries (actually they sell a lot of norweiggian salmon in Ikea, which is Swedish). The rapping part i don't know if you got it, it is difficult to understand because they use references and extrange twists of words to make it funnier, like "nórdico latino, qué luciferino". It's hard to explain, but it's very funny 😆 This has been an absolute hit at least in Spain. In festivals, these guys rocketed to the most important places just because of this song. I love that you reacted to this, i hope some other reacting channels start doing it too 😆😆😆

"Esta vida loca, a mirar la foca Asando un salmón, Norwegian Reggaetón" I'll try to explain this: first sentence translated in english, "This crazy life, watching the seal", means pretty nothing. That's because it's a pun between italian and spanish: in italy we say "fica", which is a way to call women genitalia, referring to a very very attractive girl, so they used the word "foca" because it refer to "fica" by consonance. So it becomes "This crazy life, watching the chicks" (my poor english don't let me translate it in a better way without being vulgar). Second sentence "Grilling a salmon, Norwegian Raggaeton", well this is pretty clear, salmon-Norway , and if i'm not wrong probably seals eat salmon too. There are layers and layers of reference and puns in this song ... Nanowar are geniuses!
i would bet that grilling a salmon is a metaphor for sex. similar to the rapped verse thats all norweigian themed sex references. salmon relates to norway and also to vaginas, which are often said to smell like fish...

The spanish parts, the same as the english ones, tend to talk about traditionally norweggian and/or metal things (hypothermia, midnight sun, Raganrok Beach, desecrating tombs, Fenriz, Darkthrone, polar killer whale, roasting a salmon, watching seals, etc) mixed with latin american/reggaeton stuff (cubalibre, summer fiesta, the rumba beat, the crazy life and so on). It is indeed a praody both of metal and reggaeton. And a hell of a song.
the reference to salmon is related to the fact the Norway is one of the biggest salmon exporter, there's also a play on words on "esta vida loca, a mirar la foca" which means "This crazy life looking at seal", but "foca" is a reference to pussy because in italian pussy is "fica",n so they change a vowel for having a rhyme with the word "loca" "La iglesia quemada" means "the burnt church" a clear reference to Burzum who burned several churces at the beginning of the 90, his ep Aske has a picture of one them If you turn the english subtitle in the official video you'll see a wee explanation of all references

Weird coincidence, i actually watched this video for the first time (!) by accident yesterday, and here you are reacting to it. Fun song! "deathpasito" 🤘😄
This is Nanowar of Steel which includes members of Gigatron if I am not wrong. Gigatron is a band that has been for decades laughing at themselves and to everyone making fun-metal (don't even know how to define it). They have great albums whose lyrics make you literally cry of laughter, unfortunately, you need to speak Spanish and in occasions even actually be a Spaniard ( or be familiar with Spain) to get all the references and 'inside jokes'. They are a great band.
Everything makes sense: -smoked salmon is an ancient norwegian typical dish. -"watch the sea lion" (mirar la foca) is because nordic people mistook them as mermaid. If you were italian you would understand and rate their Giorgio Mastrota song much better, it's their masterpiece of demential metal.
I don't think the Spanish parts are particularly nonsensical (compared to the rest of the song). I think the killer whale, seal and roasting salmon stuff are all Norwegian references, which has a strong fishing culture in the northern seas.

Fun song! "deathpasito" 🤘😄
Weasel and weasel 😂😂😂😂 You guy rock 🤘🏽
profanar la tumba al ritmo de la rumba
i have been waiting for this ! Yeaaaa
This is the best thing I've seen in a while.
The video for "The motherload" by Mastodon is a hilarious parody of every single reggaeton video
I just want it to be 10x longer
This is Nanowar of Steel which includes members of Gigatron if I am not wrong. Gigatron is a band that has been for decades laughing at themselves and to everyone making fun-metal (don't even know how to define it). They have great albums whose lyrics make you literally cry of laughter, unfortunately, you need to speak Spanish and in occasions even actually be a Spaniard ( or be familiar with Spain) to get all the references and 'inside jokes'. They are a great band.
I´m metalhead, and I love reggaeton, fuck
stereotypes, if you love any song it doesn´t matter what people think.
The salmon thing is a joke on Norwegian fishing laws, then they just hucked it into a party lyric.
they played this song on spanish tv (in the show "spain got talent")
Burning Varg is the best in this vid.......and its pretty good!
Everything makes sense:
-smoked salmon is an ancient norwegian typical dish.
-"watch the sea lion" (mirar la foca) is because nordic people mistook them as mermaid.
If you were italian you would understand and rate their Giorgio Mastrota song much better, it's their masterpiece of demential metal.
foca is italian slang for pussy.
This song and video smash the system :)
Yes ! I love this jewel !
Ser bilingue y ver este video es lo mejor de la vida JAJAJAJA
The quest of carrefour is really good.
My new favorite band
:) While I was moving furniture around the house I thought of you guys playing a Nazareth song , in honor of your town...Nazareth - Miss Misery
I'm honestly surprised you guys havent done Code Orange - Swallowing the Rabit Whole yet.
They already recruited me with their video "Call of Cthulhu: Buy or Die." ;-)
Theres so many references in this song.....
NEXT: *Barbie MILF princess of the twilight* ft. The one and only FABIO LIONE (Rhapsody)
It's their best song
You should have watched it with youtube subtitles.
They also hint the words in norweggian (wich are albums by Burzum)
Gargoyle and the Vegan Velociraptor are genius as well
I don't think the Spanish parts are particularly nonsensical (compared to the rest of the song). I think the killer whale, seal and roasting salmon stuff are all Norwegian references, which has a strong fishing culture in the northern seas.
His Vulvodynia shirt tho.
*BARBIE MILF PRINCESS OF THE TWILIGHT*
*IRONMONGER (the copier of the seven keys)*
