RIP... Roman Gabriel. That was the era a became a Rams fan. "Throw The Bomb Gabe" is what I always used to say because it seemed he completed more of those than his short passes.
Roman Gabriel was the star of the then small Filipino-American community in Los Angeles in the 1960s. Roman Gabriel introduced the sport of football to his Filipino-American fans who predominantly NBA and Jerry West fans at the time. My brother who is ten years older was enrolling to go to college when we met Roman Gabriel in the late 1980s when he was coaching Cal Poly Pomona's football team. Roman Gabriel was a nice man to everyone. RIP, Sir.

Roman Gabriel 1969 MVP 1973 NFL come back player of the year. When he ended his career, he was top 5 and top 10 in most passing records and is still the Rams all-time passing TDs leader.
RIP Roman. Saw him on a recent UA-cam video and was happy to see him, now he’s gone. Roman Gabriel, Fearsome Foursome, Dick Bass and so many others from that time gave forever memories. Glad I was able to add his auto photo on my Rams wall. This was sad to hear.
Rome Odunze would have hyper-up the Rams offense to be so dominant against any first-tiered defense like the Niners.
They did not mention George Allen! He made the Rams.
Joe Alt sounds really good but I just keep getting flashbacks ofAlex Barron, Jason Smith and Greg Robinson and it makes me scared to death 😂

If Rams trade up I really feels it’s for Odunze.
The rams are expecting to make a deep playoff run. They’re definitely trading up to get somebody that next year first round pick won’t matter because it’ll be so far back

They are way off the mark w this Alt nonsense! He's not even the consensus best OT in the draft!🎯Plus, AJ is proving to be a solid starter (very affordable one too) who's only getting better w more experience. Best DL or Edge available should be the pick...Odunze is intriguing to possibly move up & possibly Bowers. Trade back, if anything. Keep stacking the deck on offense is the best approach to 2024! Though there will be plenty of offensive weapons left in Rds. 2-4. However, by comparison, much less impactful defensive options later on.
If ALT is the choice that is a huge jump
Man if the Rams get Joe Alt I would be so happy!!! We would be good at left tackle for the next 8-10 years. In this draft we need to get a bigger #2 running back and this running game and offense would be set.

10-3 ? With the worst front 7 in the NFL ? Rams will be giving up 40 points a game. They won't stop any team from scoring.

We had a average defense last year with Donald who was on a decline he did nothing in the playoff game, our secondary is alot better, we just need to add some defensive players and no matter who we take the defense ISN’T going to improve much but we are not giving 40 points a game, everyone thought that would happen last year and it didn’t, so getting a elite LT and a Stud WR is crucial so we can score 35 points per game and make the offense elite, there’s no elite defensive players in this draft 😆

@@erichwentz2866 Donald didn’t do anything last year he had 6 sacks total that’s why he retired, Turner actually was double teamed more, Turner had 9 sacks, no matter who they draft on defense we will not improve that much, you are missing the point, the offense can be elite with Stafford and the upgraded offensive line, we have Puka, Kupp and Williams we still need a deep threat WR for the offense to take off because THIS is what you do when your defense is average to below average, we can score 35 points a game, so if the defense gives up 27-30 points we still win, this the weakest defensive draft in years so we can’t reach for a player who’s not a game changer, just get multiple defensive players and try to improve as a team 😂
@@travesotom6890 I trust way more what numerous opponent coaches think of AD than your keyboard opinion. The Rams will suffer without AD but I know they will try to fill the hole the best they can.

For the Love of God…. 1st rd picks come with expectations , a lot of them and a big part of any rookie who is drafted in that position, big part of the pressures they face are those expectations. In the Rams car they are on the verge of a SB and everyone will be super critical of every move. If they had gone 2-14, then a 1st rd pick has a little leeway. The team is rebuilding and looking for success in a couple years, means his growing pains won’t be as critically observed, but that’s not where the Rams are. Also you can’t replace AD, and although everyone knows that, drafting a DT immediately after AD retirees in the 1st rd add so much extra pressure, there almost is no way the player can succeed. Even drafting a DT just one rd later removes a tin of the burden. Rams WILL NOT draft an DT IN 1st

O line is set. Defense needs help. Linebackers and linemen specifically. Don't forget a KICKER!! Would not be happy if they go offense at all.
Alt dounds good but I would be more inclined to get an edge guy. AJ is a hood tackle and WILL play well. Some of our losses were because we couldn't stop opposing passers, not because we couldn't move the ball. Too many times we made the Geno Smiths of the league look like Tom Brady!! Nope im not going OT first im going edge, provided an elite guy is available ehen we're up.
I respectfully disagree on the Alt outlook, that trade up is not worth it...period!
Ammunition: ain't much ammunition after trading all top picks away for 1 player... DON'T DISS ON ALARIC JACKSON!!!!!!!!!

If your not in.the war room,you have no idea what they are thinking. They clearly believe the widow is open now. In my mind,that means plug and play. The defense needs more than.the offense. First half of the first round is going to be offense dominated. That means quality defensive prospects are going the fall. However,I could see a trade into the top 10 or 12 for a franchise left tackle

I don’t think Malik Nabers will be available at the 12 I think he’s a top 10 pick. I think the top three receivers will go in the top 10 if we don’t trade up to about the middle of the top 10 at least 6 or 7 to get Joe Alt we won’t get him which will suck. We need Joe Alt after we get him. We trade up early in the second round and go get Brian Thomas Jr he runs a 4.3 just as good as any of those other receivers

Reality...Rams won't do shiz before first 10 teams have already selected... I say around 14 Rams might get itchy, but I think it would be wrong to trade up.
They aren’t trading up for an edge. It’s Alt a top speed WR, or Bowers. They really only need situational pass rushers at edge. They have experienced guys there now. Could they use a Von Miller?? Sure. Do you see a Von Miller in this draft? I don’t. But there are some guys that have traits the Rams can use right now. And then develop the rest of the player. They want an ELITE offense. And will do everything g to make that happen. It helps the entire team.

Hoecht (Edge - replaced in passing situations by new drafted situational edge or Mathis or Hampton), K Turner (3 tech), B Brown (NT), Des Johnson (DE), B Turner (Edge). And also believe the Rams will add 1-2 edge and 1-2 DL in the draft to throw into the competitive mix. Just not in the first round unless they trade back into the first after they go offense with their earlier first pick.

I trust the brain trust of our LA Rams. We all have our opinions but let’s let Les and Sean make the decisions. They’ve done well in the draft and with free agency. Maybe there will be some undrafted talent that can step in as well.
