Ok, as an Asian, let me educate you a bit about some of the food eaten: Boneless chicken feet are a thing. Someone actually painstakingly removes all the bones before cooking and serving it. So no, she did not eat bones. The crunch you’re hearing is from the skin; it has a lot of collagen so it tends to get chewy and crunchy when cooked. Eating raw onions and raw vegetables (not just veggies like lettuce, but veggies that are commonly cooked such as green beans and squash) are a common thing, especially in this country I grew up in. What is NOT common tho is eating all those eggs. Yikes. I dont know how mukbang became so bastardized, it was a Korean thing where people broadcasted themselves eating to keep people who lived alone company. Now it’s devolved into whoever can eat the most in one sitting. It’s never been about the amount or type of food, but the companionship.
Don’t people eat raw vegetables everywhere around the world? I live in America but I’m from the caribbean and we eat raw vegetables both places. We also eat chicken and a lot of other animals feet in the caribbean but I never heard of taking out the bones, that sounds like a lot of work. I think a lot of competitive food eaters muckbang a lot and those worlds were bound to cross.

Well, not everyone, some people simply can eat more than others. I used to be able to eat a hellish amount of food, like 3 whole pizzas before STARTING to feel full and I never had weight problems (I once went to a place where you can eat as much as you can just paying $50 to see my limit and it was around 5 whole pizzas). Anyway, basically, your stomach just expands a lot, it's flexible, and those people's stomach expands more than... Not the usual, but the people like that me in the past (because I can't eat that much anymore), those people actually train to be able to eat more. Also, there are some metabolic stuffs too. I can't eat that much anymore because at that time I was a growing teenager, and now I'm a fully grown adult. Also, I used to exercise more back then, so I had more muscles and I had better methabolism, and those people actually exercise a lot too to deal with the insane amount of calories they're ingesting and maintain an extremely healthy lifestyle in between those videos or food competitions

Okay, I’m Chinese and the second Chinese lady is actually eating chilli, in general, Chinese especially from certain provinces like sichuan etc do have really high spice tolerance, because they grow up eating food with a LOT of chilli. The chilli she’s eating is quite large and normally it’s those small chilli that are spicy so the large or medium sized ones are not that spicy lol just wanted to share my perspective

Something I don’t hear people talk about is how it stretches your stomach thus pushing on your other organs. One of them is your bladder. What I’m getting at is your bladder control becomes compromised cause the sensitivity of stretching and pushing on the organs becomes decreased. I get it sometimes where I don’t feel hungry (or full) for a few days straight (so I forget to eat, haha). If it’s impacting your health, it’s best to talk to a doctor about it (namely a gastroenterologist).

That’s probably disordered. Every single person with an eating disorder that I’ve known does that. And I knew a lot when I was in eating disorder recovery… You could seriously have an eating disorder, please look into it. Now I’m not telling you to stop, but there are communities online that really helped me. They didn’t judge me for not wanting to get better and when I did get better I was encouraged. I was convinced I was just dieting normally for years because I was a healthy weight. You can have an eating disorder at any weight and you can suffer serious injury at any weight. I knew someone with serious life long medical issues due to restricting and binging and purging and they were larger. I knew I had an eating disorder when it got bad enough that I was logging everything and making low calorie microwave chocolate cakes. I thought constantly about food and my weight. I felt like if I was skinny everything would be better… or at least my corpse would be cute. I aimed for 800 calories a day but told myself it was fine since I was 5’1. I drank a lot of miso soup and tea and vegetable broth to fill my stomach. Even though I was a healthy weight and not even restricting “that much” I suffered from medical issues like constipation and hemorrhoids and fatigue. My mood was horrible and my other mental illnesses got worse. I was only 16 and I didn’t poop for so long I went to the ER. Something about my blood they could tell I hadn’t eaten so they tried to make me eat and I refused. That’s when I decided my anorexia was “serious enough” to call it anorexia. I was so tired and depressed I couldn’t go to school and dropped out (bad home life didn’t help). Ended up in ED recovery a year later. I didn’t want to get better. I told myself that I, unlike the other patients, deserved to suffer and die. Or that I, uniquely, could be anorexic “healthily”. Idk why I typed all this. Hopefully you don’t see yourself in this and you’re not sick. But if you are, I hope you choose to get help.

Okay, I’m Chinese and the second Chinese lady is actually eating chilli, in general, Chinese especially from certain provinces like sichuan etc do have really high spice tolerance, because they grow up eating food with a LOT of chilli. The chilli she’s eating is quite large and normally it’s those small chilli that are spicy so the large or medium sized ones are not that spicy lol just wanted to share my perspective

What I’m getting at is your bladder control becomes compromised cause the sensitivity of stretching and pushing on the organs becomes decreased. I get it sometimes where I don’t feel hungry (or full) for a few days straight (so I forget to eat, haha). If it’s impacting your health, it’s best to talk to a doctor about it (namely a gastroenterologist).

That’s probably disordered. Every single person with an eating disorder that I’ve known does that. And I knew a lot when I was in eating disorder recovery…
You could seriously have an eating disorder, please look into it. Now I’m not telling you to stop, but there are communities online that really helped me. They didn’t judge me for not wanting to get better and when I did get better I was encouraged.
I was convinced I was just dieting normally for years because I was a healthy weight. You can have an eating disorder at any weight and you can suffer serious injury at any weight. I knew someone with serious life long medical issues due to restricting and binging and purging and they were larger.
I knew I had an eating disorder when it got bad enough that I was logging everything and making low calorie microwave chocolate cakes. I thought constantly about food and my weight. I felt like if I was skinny everything would be better… or at least my corpse would be cute. I aimed for 800 calories a day but told myself it was fine since I was 5’1. I drank a lot of miso soup and tea and vegetable broth to fill my stomach. Even though I was a healthy weight and not even restricting “that much” I suffered from medical issues like constipation and hemorrhoids and fatigue. My mood was horrible and my other mental illnesses got worse. I was only 16 and I didn’t poop for so long I went to the ER. Something about my blood they could tell I hadn’t eaten so they tried to make me eat and I refused. That’s when I decided my anorexia was “serious enough” to call it anorexia. I was so tired and depressed I couldn’t go to school and dropped out (bad home life didn’t help). Ended up in ED recovery a year later. I didn’t want to get better. I told myself that I, unlike the other patients, deserved to suffer and die. Or that I, uniquely, could be anorexic “healthily”.
Idk why I typed all this. Hopefully you don’t see yourself in this and you’re not sick. But if you are, I hope you choose to get help.
