FC Peterborough Reserves and Deeping Rangers Development provided a spicy pre-season friendly at the Focus Community Centre, that will be remembered for an infamous touchline brawl. Early in the second half, a FC Peterborough player punched the Deeping centre-back off camera, prompting the referee to ask both managers to substitute the two players involved, to avoid either being sent off, with the game being a friendly. 15 minutes later, during a water break, things erupted further. Unsurprisingly the punch on the Deeping player was missed in this video. Also the abuse he received for NOT reacting to that punch from the FC Peterborough manager can’t be heard clearly. You can hear his mocking at the suggestion the police be called though. Awful team.
