Neko Tsukahara is settling into her job at Tasogare Hotel. Hoping to prove herself, she volunteers to assist a new guest-a man with a pansy-shaped head and an unsettling vibe. After escorting him to his room, Neko searches for clues to help him recover his memories. She soon discovers that in the living world, he was a medical student and part-time detective named Masaki Osoto.

The “Tasogare Hotel” never sees afternoon, nor does it see night, but rather exists in a state of twilight.
This hotel serves as a place that allows souls who have not yet decided if they are meant to pass on to the afterlife, or remain in the world of the living, to rest their wings. One day a girl named Neko Tsukahara, comes across this “Tasogare Hotel” with no memory of who she is or how she came to be there.
An employee leads the way and shows Neko to her room, explaining, “In these rooms, there should be items that are related to our guests’ memories. These items can also serve as clues to help our guests remember who they were before they arrived here.” As Neko searches for a way to return to this world and remember who she was, a certain incident confronts her...

This anime adaption is really awesome!! In the game we have the interrogation in his room by his bed the whole time. In this episode, I love how they moved the characters around the room making it feel more suspense.

@@vukimoanh916 Sadly the game isn't compatible on my device, so I am using a person's playthrough on the game, and so far they are at chapter 4 only
So, I have yet to make it to the ending(even if I was spoiled on what happens at the end anyway 😒)

Purple pancy flower means- luxury, royalty ,beauty,attribute.
Also there an urban legend (/myth) of it and according to it, if a petal of purple flower has thick line means " a life of trouble "

I looked it up. Apparently pansy is used as a term for 'abuse' and 'disparagement' along with other positive symbolisms.
When i was playin the game, I was surprised over how come masaki osoto just let me rambling on about his crime just to see him pull out his sunt. Godamn it is a waste that he is so broken, cause he has both braincells and reflexes.
Nah the braincells one is almost correct. Idk if it's just me but if someone I never met in my life suddenly appeared in front of me while dropping my full name with my secrets that not even my closest friend know and then threaten to send me to hell, the last thing I would do is to taunt them. Osoto could just like push Neko to the train rail and run as fast as he could but he just stand there listening to Neko and gave her the chance to open the gate of hell 🤦♂️
So far in the flower language I could only find that pansy means thoughtfulness, melancholy, remembrance. If we look at the color specifically it's purple which is "思慮深い" (thoughtfulness), "揺るがない魂" (unwavering Soul), "誠実" (sincerity)... I'm extremely curious what will be the end of this.
This story reminds me of one I’ve read before called Down Came Seven, where a group of strangers with masks for faces turn up in a place together and none of them have any memories. Each has a different mask and are trying to figure out what’s going on as they go. It’s a really interesting premise.

@ as far as I know, it’s *only* available online. If you search up “Down Come Seven Shayni,” it should bring it up (that’s the author’s name). I can pretty confidently recommend it as clean (no gross scenes), though it does have some bad language, violence, and sass. Storywise, it’s one of the best I’ve read because of the continual unfolding/twisting of the plot, and I’ve gone back to read it multiple times as if it was new.

underrated 😭
The legendary battle between Neko and Osoto has started. Their rivalry (if you can call it that) got me into chokehold back when I played the game years ago. I'm excited how they will animate it. I'm still dissapointed they don't use the original intro in any scenes. Maybe haven't found the timing yet. I also hope they can animate the after story too!! I was a broke student back then so I cannot purchase the after story :((
I think they scrapped the entire puzzle from the game and create the original one for the anime. Like in eps 1, we supposed to combine a stick and a grappler to get a key that stuck at the top of the curtains, but they change it. There is one scene in the eps 1 when Neko checking the sauna area, there are an おみやげ spot, we could see the grappler with a lot of in-game stuff there, which means they are all not going to be used. Idk why they change the puzzle though, it is pretty disappointing.
Osoto just come as guest again to continuing his own agenda...

For those who haven't played the game, Osoto tried to do more horrible thing to Ruri which is inserting knife between her thighs and slicing her either vertically or horizontally

If I'm not wrong... the true ending was Neko is alive, Atori is dead for 3months ago irl and Osoto is still alive and yeah he's a dangerous person.
I remember a bit, that Neko is throwing Osoto into the hell pit for good in the real world.
There is a special chapter with special ending or secret ending (?) that I also buy in the game, if Atori still alive he will met Neko at a cafe I guess.

I wish the VA for Neko was more expressive, cause for some tense situations the emotion is just... Not there. It sounds poorly acted.

Actually, Neko’s character personality is intentionally written this way. In the game, she always have this face ( ⁰ 人⁰ ) and Neko even admits herself that people find it difficult to read her emotions. In the anime they made her face more expressive which some game fans dislike. Personally I don’t mind since anime is a more visual medium. But I like how they didn’t totally change her character in the anime as her voice is chill and nonchalant at times.
(She barely reacted at… something that happened in Ep 4 which makes her an interesting character to me XD It seems like they might add new content to her backstory so I’m looking forward to it!!)
