It's the way they work it's supposed to be like that. Safety that is doesn't engage unless the bolt is racked.

As 22guru said, working correctly. The safety does not fully engage unless the weapon has been charged and is ready to fire with or without a rou din the chamber. Works like that on most firearms with a manual safety. If the gun is not "charged" the safety will not engage. My AR works the same way.

5 years ago I added the BX trigger but couldn't understand why my group's hardly shrunk. That's until I finally took off my 3 moa red dot optic and replaced it with a 2 moa. That made ALL the difference.

Hey Thanks! This is what I wanted to see. I asked on a Rimfire group if someone could share their experience with the BX trigger. What I got was responses like, "It's good. It will improve your rifle for a lot less money than the other triggers." Basically nobody could tell me about the BX trigger. If I had asked about the MCARBO trigger for Marlin I would have had 3 responses. What is up with Rugerphiles?

It's a feature on the 10/22. Safety button that is.

Manual of Arms for the 10/22? You can and should learn it for all weapons prior to first use.

Well...I just watch your video earlier on trigger tear down. If you havent fixed the issue with the safety yet I would tear it down again and check clearance between the sear and the safety. Ripple side of the safety should point down. I ran into issue of my hammer being stuck cocked when reassembling. Didn't have the safety turn with ripple side down for the notch clearance for the sear to be pointed up. When bolt is cocked the sear moves forward slightly so either not enough clearance between sear and safety vertically or not enough horizontal inside the notch of the safety. Just my tidbit in what I learned earlier.

I feel fairly confident I did this all the right way... and I never tore down the BX... so hopefully this just breaks in

@@OuterLimitless2 maybe. Guess you'll find out with time. As far as the sear and safety clearance that's only thing i could thing of. Like buying a car though no 2 rifles will act or be the same even if they look like it.

I thought when it's been fired the safety meets in the middle for easy removal from the stock...

Hmmm interesting thought... I'll look into that but I don't think that's automatically going to happen. I want to def look into that. Thanks for watching!

You can’t use the safety after the trigger has been pulled. Of course it will not go in all the way. You only use the safety when the hammer is cocked.

Creep not wall. The wall is the stopping point right before the break. Saying there is no wall is saying the trigger never stops moving though the pull ebgore the break. 👍🫡

You're absolutely correct. Not sure why I said it that way... Just an error while I was focused on demonstration. I would refer to that as "take up" ... I must have been low on coffee that day. Good catch though... I had to rewatch it. I hate mistakes!
