Best Tennis training documentation I have seen ever! Miced up Roger during his session is a dream I had the last 20 year's! Thank you both for this rare inside. Please more of this footage!
This was amazing to see and hear. It really makes Roger more human and I appreciate his speaking his thoughts. When watching him play I’ve always wondered how he thought about each point. I thank him for doing this video.
I love how they speak to each other in French out of habit from his young days… and that he can easily switch between a number languages. He’s not just a great tennis player.
The quickness and Agility and a hand-eye coordination it's really important it's almost like throwing a Frisbee and letting a German Shepherd place to get here it's all timing
I feel part of it is people aren't feeling as threatened to play him because he's kind of been away from it. Looks like some players play their best tennis when they're playing against him lately.
Yeah that's bouncing coordination this is very good I've never done this drill pretty smart I've never seen anybody even teach that drill so yeah so unique training drills
Perfect technique and then how he makes it look so easy the way his footwork is so good bouncing all the time moving quickly shoulder rotation out front smooth fall through timing is just absolutely explicit
This is 4 years back. In 2017. And this is just a small part of the large training program. However.. I like it. I wish I could get a personalized trainer.
That is smooth and fast that's why you're so good that is so much faster than what you see out there how quick you move to the ball I just incredible that's why you're you beat people so easily on that shots
The big key with the coach is motivation you know you get people out there to motivate you but you have to learn to motivate yourself and Tennis really because you're out there by yourself in this sport it's not a team sport but when you're training and stuff you can coach or direct or somebody is working drills or people that might you can hit with it my motivate you but in the end it's always internal motivation that drive that you want to be number one you make the difference for yourself and it's about you not let yourself down because your expectations have to be what number one you know you have to know you're going out there not just to play but you went out there to win it's a big difference and that's the mindset the champion you're going to win this match you're not going out there just to participate I mean this is the difference between you know the eye of the tiger you have to really be hungry for this all the time because there's so many great players that just don't put out somewhere somewhere in the training maybe four or five different ways of training they're lacking somewhere and that stops him from being the top the top guy is always on top of four to five things all the time his sleep is diet is training the weight lifting all that he has to get it all together yes deal with injuries and then he has to do with Rehabilitation a lot of times you're missing turnips because you got me entries are back around
It's shoulder turn quick rackets back and he hits through that ball real smooth fall through it finishes High so it really gets a good load of high action on his ground strokes that cops are nice follow through really hits through that ball
I guess we’ll have to settle with watching him train once in a while, to compensate for barely seeing him play matches. In the near future is Fed addicts will just watch his Instagram personal training sessions on his home court, while reminiscing.
Wim Hof should train Federer in breathing exercises...... would be amazing to see older athletes learn to utilize the breath and further the economy of their 'body/machine' when under stressful conditions...
These windshield wiper drills are excellent As you move to the left and then to the right as your instructor moves you from side to side because then you get the footwork you get the recover you get the iron coordination focus on the ball moving from left to right kind of like a windshield wiper so really what makes these players is it drills that the coach develops all these pictures types of drills for the service and targets and short angle put away volleys and approach Follies and overheads and in the practice of different you know ground strokes their hip from the base line and various drills and exercises that make up the
The truly amazing part is how he effortlessly transitions from speaking French to his coach and English to the camera in the middle of a warmup, with neither being his native language lol
Yeah getting a racket pack and then getting load of high and then hit that nice fluid follow through and this you know turn that technique is really critical that you get download a high so you can get that top spent or if you're going to slice it you come down the backup ball it through so you have to work on the slice and the Top Spin and this really should be hitting the ball deep you know trying to get

This is amazing to see. Get to hear his thoughts, during warm up, practice and the match. Awesome really!
Even in practice Roger is so competitive. Just a wonderful person overall.
What a champion ! What a gentleman ! What a citizen of the world !
I just love the " why did you try to hit it so hard ".describes his inner deamons while playing so well.

Really interesting video, commentary on his own training and practice match. Excellent video!
Roger is a marvel. Entirely in a league of his own. A true master champion.
This guy kinda sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
Seems like he has a way to go if he wants to make it in tennis tho. He should probably get a day job
@@colby7325 underrated comment 😂 😂 😂 🤣 🤣 🤣
Who?
So Roger isn’t silent when he’s playing, he’s usually so quiet on TV and on.y hearing his hits. Good to know gods breathe too 😂

I played tennis in Zanzibar on holiday a few years ago. The heat killed me.

Love watching Fed play tennis, push-ups....not as much. Can you imagine having Federer as your coach with the wealth of knowledge he has?
Amazing how easily Federer switches from English to French and back.
And here in the US we INSIST on people speaking English.
Et pourtant son Français est impeccable 😅
