What a beautiful project. I had some relatives in the county in the 1880's some Emmons and some Homes. IDK anything about them, bu love your idea of regional history
My descendants, the Luttrell family was an indentured servant who got off a ship and this is where he was listed as living. James Luttrell 1650-1698 was 1 of 27 that was traded for 1350 acres to a ship captain for their transport. Any info you have on him and his lineage would help in furthering my goal of finding out my family history in Europe. We descended from Luttrellstown or Dunster castle. We fought with William the Conquerer at Hastings in 1066 and with Washington against Cornwallis. We as well as fought for the north in the civil war and many other conflicts. We have fought and died for the forming of 2 separate nations and I would love to know any of the information you may have to confirm my findings.
Thank you for watching and commenting! We'd recommend reaching out directly to the Fauquier Afro-American Historical Association, they have excellent resources available to help folks learn about their ancestry here in Fauquier County. www.aahafauquier.org/contact
