- This summer will have about no poker, but it will have a lot of dealing poker. I'm dealing the summer poker series at The Orleans on W Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2024 Orleans Summer Open is the official name. Here are my tales.

Glad to see another human happily hard at work. Life is as enjoyable as you are.
you're the goodest youtuber around, wholesome, hard working, honest, such good guy.
Thanks a lot.
Nice recap ... good to hear they are keeping the dealers all properly "fed and watered"!! Nice bonus there, and I'm sure it makes you feel more appreciated. 💯
Haha ... just caught the nice thumbnail as I was leaving. Funny!!! 😅
Great that they feed you. Herbs&Rye had a nice run in the Wsop Horse. Thx for giving his name.
Most or all casinos have an EDR. -- Yeah, 3rd place was nice.
@@VegasPokerNomad Thx for the responses they mean a lot. Just had heart surgery and one of my Joys is your daily vlogs. Gonna be laid up a little longer then attempt the Colossus.
El Diesel!-Yesterday!-No Pork Chops Or Hamburger Patties!-So I Ate-PORK POZOLE SOUP&iT'S GREAT!-With My Hammered-TeaSpoon!-Raymond 'Mike" Hong!&(I'd Rather-Just Eat-With A SPOON-Only-Too!-Mike!)😎👍!!!!!!!!!
Saw you one of the days you were dealing cash. Tried to say hi, but you were setting up for a new table so were a bit distracted. No big deal, always tough when you're at work. Maybe catch up as a player after the summer.
Some of the tourney dealers are definitely less experienced, but always nice and understanding. So no surprise they'd be happy to have you deal cash. Most players recognize that the dealer pool is thin right now...most.
Thanks. Yeah, especially in cash games I'm very focused on no mistakes. There's a lot going on in cash games. In tournaments I have moments to look around and chat with players.
as a fellow asian, rice is actually a chopstick food 😉
For authenticity, yes. For convenience?
I don't remember which video where the survivor tourney came up in, but OMG...As a player if you can ever find that game running daily in a casino move there. It will change your life i promise you.
It plays like a
(STS) single table satellite of 10, ends w 5 players remaining, 1st place gets a gravy on top from prize pool. I found that running at The Hawaiian gardens at the time, gardens now, in Hawaiian gardens CA...I moved my rv into the parking lot and didnt leave until the game broke after 13 months or so. best poker profit yr of my 20 yr career. It was also called the double up tourney cause Buy in was $100, $10 went to the house...if you finished 2-5 you got $190 back, It would run all day and near all night, you could easily win 8 to 10 or more double ups a day. And in theory winning in 5th place and never putting a chip in a pot other than a blind and ante, just let 5 people bust before you..Sometimes just winning a round of blinds and antes from the button position wins you $90 bucks, Its a rare bird and hard tourney to find. Sorry for the long message. love the vids
I've heard some people say way more people should be playing these than do play these. -- Thanks.
Premium vlogger, all the good for you brother !
Are you playing any poker ? I hope you do and run like the sun.
Thanks. Not during the series.
Always keep a spoon in the pocket in case you run into rice
I should.
Chicken and rice is some great Arab/Mid Eastern food. "Kapsa", something like that. I guess the EDR isn't trading in exotic spices tho.
No. But I do have Middle Eastern and African spices with me. I usually put some in the water before I turn on the rice cooker. It cooks into the rice and gives the rice an orange color.
@@VegasPokerNomad your details rock.
And remember...
Rice is not a regular feature in the EDR. 😉😜
What a shame.
@@VegasPokerNomad You to rice is like me to eggs. If I could I would make them a staple in everything I cook, and of course there are limitless combinations for both of them.
i dealt at the Planet Hollywood same time i dealt WSOP...And constantly the EDR at Planet was always far and superior to the Edr at Rio...Better pay vs better food lol
For a series like this they'll ALWAYS try to be over staffed
Makes sense. A ton of people will quit halfway through.
Hi. Now that you have your licence, can you deal in Texas, California and Florida too? Or is your licence only valid in Nevada? Greetings from Sweden.
Each state has its own gaming board. I think it's just good for Nevada. But without a criminal history, getting the gaming license is just a formality.
that sucks, you make way more dealing cash
It's debatable. Stay tuned.
@@VegasPokerNomad I've been a dealer for 7 years, it's not debatable. those year round dealers coming in a 4 and heading straight for the cash area proves it
@@kyled5814 I'm not dealing for 7 years. I'm dealing for 50 days.
How many times a day can you eat in the EDR?
And is it like a buffet where you can eat as much as you want?
As much as you want
I was never told a limit. A lot of dealers go down every break for at least a drink.
