I like this laptop, but I wished MSI would've made the bottom simple so people could add folding feet.
I have a 10SFK-062 and I was wondering if you could just install another ssd alongside the other one? It seems like there is an extra ssd slot.

There is this white thick thermal paste all over the VRams which is totally stuck like glue with the heatsink. It's so tight that I can't even pull it out.
After adding the HDD, my case wont fully snap back together. It seems the hard drive is protruding, as the protective flap does not sit flat on top of the drive. Apparently this laptop requires the thinnest possible version of the 2.5" hard drive, as I bought a 0.37" thickness drive instead of 0.28". It's very frustrating that this is not specified in the manual anywhere. I wish I saw your drive recommendations first so I didn't have to go through this...

I have the Katana, so if it's even Slightly similar the stock version will do what you need until you can upgrade... Horizon, spider-man, and RE2 in max has noticeable problems, but are very much playable, I have no issues in the setting right blow max, but ray tracing lags hard, you'll need that max 64gb of ram for it to run smoothly, or just more than the 16 it has, 32 would probably be ok, but it is expensive so might as well max that mug out
Is it possible to replace the cpu ?
This video is extremely helpful and helping me find out where to go to upgrade the RAM. If I'm upgrading my SSD that already has Windows on it Do I need to do anything special? Sorry I've never upgraded an internal hard drive before from one that's already been used.
Does anyone know the exact sizing of the additional two screws from the manual packaging, the ones used to fasten the HDD to the bracket. I lost mine and I would like to replace them

Going to get a reflow gun so I can add the 2nd m.2 slot MSI left off.
Wow, surprised that model only had 1 RAM slot loaded. Mine came with 2 3200 Samsung 8GB sticks, the 512GB WD nvme, and a 7200rpm 1TB Seagate HDD.
Update, I added the components for the 2nd m.2 slot and it works, now I have a dedicated nvme for my games.

Say I wanted to replace the battery for this, which replacement would you recommend? My current one is acting strange, it says it has a full charge, but then you remove the charger wire...and it dies in 15mins. I thought to myself, well that isn't normal. I wasn't gaming or anything just yet. I tried calling MSI help center, and they were very unhelpful because they don't expect someone to want to fix their own laptop. Is it good to upgrade it into samsung 990 pro ssd for the internal memory?
laptop doesnt support 4th gen. You'll be wasting money. i reccomend any 3rd gen 3.5gbps ssd. Also make sure your screwdriver is magnetic. Some screws are hard to remove without magnets in this laptop.
I have a quick question. The speakers on my one year old MSI GP65 9SD laptop don't have sound, it just happened a couple weeks ago. It stuck at headphones mode in Nahimic 3. It used to have pop up message asked me when I plugging in the headphones jack but it doesn't show the pop up anymore! I uninstalled and reinstalled Nahimic many times but it didn't fix the issue. Anyone has the same issue and know how to fix it, please let me know I will appreciate. I'm just using only headphones for watching UA-cam and news now. Thank you.
Hi , i have similar issue, but when I sometime restart the laptop, the speakers and mic work, when I switch on the laptop after shutdown , no sound and mic
Seems some kind of driver issue
Tried rolling back and updating nahmic drivers, let me know if you were able to resolve the issue, right using Bluetooth speakers with no issue as workaround

Yes you can, you may need one of those adapters/holders for it since the SSD would likely be smaller than a HDD. The speed may or may not be a bit bottlenecked as well but basically if you can fit it into the port it'll work lol
