I have an old Bad Boy with the electric deck lift. I feared it would be the first thing to break, but after 15 years of mowing about 4 acres residential use, we never had a problem with it and came to love it.
Love the videos Mr. Spencer been watching for about 2 years and your channel is the reason that I started my own lawn-care business! Keep up the great videos!!!
Live the video. Hope all are doing good. You are looking good there spencer. I wish I could get a new mower. Still having to work with the push mower. Be safe out there and can't wait like you to get you there this summer and get mowing.that mower is awesome. Real beast.
Just brought one of these the deck is really easy to lift up with the electric assistant and much faster would spend the extra money went with a set of rear tweels awesome mower
I would go with grease bearings. Sealed bearings with my experience always wear out faster then greaseabl ones. I had a 15 year old walker that had original bearings. Where other mowers didn't last a long with sealed
I‘m in the market for a new mower this year, updating my 2013 zmaster 6000. My dealer was pushing the 4000 hard but I opted to go with the proven 6000 again, just going up from 52” to 60” deck. A brand new design seems too risky if it’s your only machine in the fleet. Also, that led light looks very gimmicky. Electric deck lift may sound cool but I’m not sure if it’s a potential headache.
Weve tried the hydraulic decks on mowers in the past they need to do away with them if you run up on something unexpected and you cant stop in time it won't raise up fast enough fo keep you from hitting whatever your about to hit we ride with our foot on the bar to raise the deck up just in case something like that was to happen plus the hydraulic decks seem to gap yards on slops as well . We didn't keep our mowers with hydraulic decks maybe a month before we got rid of them and went back to manual. Just my experience with hydraulic decks
What size hydros does it come with? I'll pass on the e-deck, like others I like to feather the deck if need be or raise the deck quickly in emergency situations.
No on the electric deck control. Those actuators aren’t very durable and when that fails, you’re done. It might be ok to have that if you also had the foot pedal as a back up.
Hydros are loud on the Toro, like the Scags. Is there a lockout for the hydraulic deck switch? I’m going to bump that. Deck seems to be operationally fast. How do you confirm if the deck is at the right height if you accidentally hit switch? I’ll take one in EFI, no My Ride, mechanical deck. 👍
Just might go ahead and buy me a toro my ride 4000 series z turn.mower as i am almost 59 and dealing with a badly herniated L5 disk. This myrtle miggt be the last lawn.mower i will ever have to buy. How well diea it hold on hillsides? I live in northeast Tennessee and we have lots of hilly properties in the tri cities area of bristol- kingsport and johnson city.
Had a Dixie chopper with electric deck lift. I thought it was too slow. Friend had a front mount grasshopper with electric deck lift. Electric motor was not very durable.
That is one sweet machine. Love the hydraulic lift on the deck. I have a 36 Toro Grandstand coming from my local Toro dealer. I don't do as much commercial property as you two do. I have a 52 inch Grandstand, I could not get anything wider into my enclosed trailer.
I picked my new Grandstand 52" last week. It's been amazing so far. I can get into tight situations in corners etc and it's easy to manoeuvre. Wondering how much the catcher assy is that Mr Spencer has. would an accelerator catcher be better? Dunno. 🐑🐑🌼🇦🇺
@@terryinozland I believe that the bagging systems that the Spencer's have is about 3000.00 dollar's. I bought a used accelerator from my local Toro dealer for 175.00, I love it. Easy off, easy dump, easy on. I am going to get one for the 36 inch too. I am also going to get a chute blocker. I have one on the 52 inch and I love it.
Looks like an awesome and amazing mower.. As for you talking differently, I didn't notice it until you said something. So you're doing a lot better than what you think you are.
VERY LOUD the ZT3100 transmissions were so loud i had to take it back to the dealer. And all hydro gear drive motors are not loud or noise! The ZT3800 on my new 2021 Toro 2000 Series HDX Pro 60" are QUIET!
Love your videos, but are you sure that this exact model comes with no flat front tires? I'm looking at the brochure and it doesn't say that they are available on this model.
Hey. Great video. How is your mouth doing? Also when you edit the videos could you put a music credit at the end of the video if at all possible please
Why do they not put the biggest motor on all of the commercial mowers and are you going to check out the wright zero turn with dual tires and what do you think about the other brands that is out such as bobcat hustler badboy Spartan exmark Kubota husquvarna and John Deere just to name a few
Awesome video guys! Just purchased this mower- being delivered first week in April! I’ll be pumping out the content once it’s here. Do you have a contact at equipment defender? Been trying to figure out shipping to Canada on it but haven’t been able to get a reply

Glad you like them Samuel, congratulations on starting your business....💪🏻
The automatic deck is just another part to break and fix. Pretty cool feature but for me I dnt think it would be something I'd want.
Fancier the mower the more the repairs cost
Everything is expensive nowadays
Except an Exmark. Buy once, cry once.
@@someparts toro owns exmark
@@seabass22 Yes, and they have a lot less stuff bolted onto them to look cool and rattle off.
Nice mower but I think I would have the foot lever for deck height.
Yeah I think it will all come down to preference with this feature. It is nice they offer it either way
Just something else that could fail in the middle of the work day. Seems cool though.
I would need the manual deck lift because I need to lift deck quickly!! Electric is to slow

Thanks we sure are ready to start mowing
No electric for me.
Gravely had a nice hydro on the P220 models.
Looks good though.
Yeah this may not be for everyone. I do like that they made it with and with out the hydraulic lift
I think bad boy mowers uses electric on their machines too. Heard they work well
@@SpencerLawnCare yes but the foot operated one doesn't have the myride which sucks

Honestly I'm not sure
Toro website has all the technical specs you need. I personally would not go with the electronic deck control. Not proven in the long run.
@@davidredmon3352 Thanks. I checked out their website, the pumps are ZT-4400. I'm with ya there on the electronic deck.
zt 4400s
I just ordered 1. I'm stoked!
Ah, the sound of a mower engine. Music to my 'peers'! I think the lifting and lowering of the deck is rather slow. It looks a comfy ride though!
We can’t wait to get some mowing in!!

That would be a good idea for backup
You are right all that extra electric crap is stupid it will just break in the long run.
@@austinwilkes3976 However, it is a GREAT feature for those who don't have use of their legs (paraplegic).
This is the mowers of all mowers what a beast this is I like how big the front wheels are Toro did a good job with this one
No mention of the seat comfort. I'm looking for a mower to ease the back pounding.
Wow that’s a sweet mower. I see Schlabach has added some fence around there facilities since I was there at your bash.
lol that's to keep ya out

Is the electronic deck lift is it water proof, just asking
I'm sure that it is

I going to check my toro dealer to see if they got them in stock I plan on getting a new zero turn pretty soon
Awesome it has many great features!
Them hydros are loud. Sounded like my toro at 30 hours when they failed or that's what the dealer told me
They sounded ok to us. But I really didn't pay that much attention
It could be the mic making them sound louder but I just happened to hear it when I watched the video and got that sinking feeling all over again
Hearing protection ? lol anyway hows the power lift gonna last ??

What hydros dose that toro have? Is it all in one or separate pomp’s and motors.?
ZT 4400 transaxle.
The 4000 also has a HDX Pro version with 31 hp and 5400 transaxle on it

When you're in mowing just for the show....🤣 I like toro tho not gonna lie.
I’d rather push the deck up and down, more to go wrong with a hydraulic lift
That could be. But it is a neat option

Looks like a stepper motor to me and Shawn says electrical.
Toro makes nice equipment!
U.S measurement: Imperial
Europe measurement: Metric
