Agreed. Plus, we now live in an era where people could hypothetically be offered te ability to be voluntarily sterilized. I don't give a damn whether someone wants or doesn't want kids. But once one is growing inside you, STFU and do your damned moral duty. If you don't wanna raise it you can put it up for adoption. But outside of life and death issues--which are rare--abortion is never the answer.
Fully agree. In the sense of practicality and making incremental improvements, I can go along with some other positions that aren't my own, like Tim Pool's.

My friend was told at 20 she couldn't get pregnant. They tried for 20 yrs. She started gaining weight. Dr's 1st thought tumors. She finally had an ultrasound. She is 30 weeks pregnant. Everything is going well. She is so happy.

About 30 years ago, my father was in a coma for 3 months. Doctors said after 1 month there is 0% change he will come out from this. Family fight against the government and after 3 months there was set a date when machine gets turned off. Literally 1 day before that date he woke up, and he lives to this day. There were like 50 doctors who said there is 0% change he will wake up, but he did. Usually they leave at least 0,1-1% change for someone to recover, but they said there was no brain activity at all. He lost all his memories and had to learn everything from zero again (speak, read, eat and so on). So for my opinion there is ALWAYS a change, they will come out from a coma. Some people just take longer to recover.

"Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration."
It was recently removed without any alternative position being substituted, however there is this gem at the end:
"Our silence about any other particular government law, regulation, ordinance, directive, edict, control, regulatory agency, activity, or machination should not be construed to imply approval."
I have the same stance on abortion. I do not care what you choose as long as men are given the same right to financially abort in the same time frame.
Meaning at any point when a woman chooses to abort a man can say "I will not pay child support" and no judge can force it.
If by some miracle he's voted into office, I want him present for a full term "pro-choice" event. We'd see just how fast he'd walk back that policy.

What you said was certainly true for my sister. When they put her on hospice and stopped all the medication except pain medication, she perked up, sat up in bed for the first time in a year and was conversing with everyone in an animated way. She had been admitted for a urinary tract infection that had gone septic, but she was off the ventilator and breathing on her own without problems, so I asked her doctor why we couldn’t just treat the infection? She said “because she would just get another infection later” and the doctor refused to change the orders. My sister was dead in a week.
The doctor had claimed that my sister was in agreement with her plan, but I think the doctor was lying because the day we moved my sister to the hospice unit, my sister said, “I know what the doctors are saying and I INTEND TO PROVE THEM WRONG!” That’s not what someone says when they are ready to die. I will always feel that they took her life.

Tim's position ignores laws we already have on the books about child endangerment and the legal obligation to use one's body to ensure the wellbeing of your child.

There was this one story I heard about, I don't know how much truth is behind it, but it brings up an interesting point.
In the story, A woman was pregnant with a baby that was dead and rotting in her womb and needed a abortion to save her life because she was getting sick, and they couldn't give it to her.
My take is that we absolutely need restrictions on abortions because ELECTIVE abortion is wrong and needs to go away entirely. But at that point women who really want a abortion will find a way to put themselves in a position where they now have to give the woman a abortion for medical reasons...
So the question becomes at what point do we allow the medical intervention so that we at least save the mother, and at what point do we just block it??? This is a complex situation, and we need a solution that provides substantial legal consequences to "abortion" while still allowing doctors enough leeway to save as many lives as possible.
If the baby is dead its not the same. Abortions are to kill perfectly gealthy live babies. Medical necessity is something different. Also in that category is a ectopic pregnancy.

Two problems here. There is no constitutional authority for the federal government to tell the states they can't have their own laws regarding murder. Second, I do remember the sound of my mother being shot while I was still inside her womb. Thankfully this was in a Catholic country, and a doctor saved my life. Full term abortion is no different from infanticide. Full term babies are alive and conscious.
