If your studying Computer Science, your going to be setting things up a lot in the office. So, Its good that you are starting to set up things yourself even if its just a gaming chair.
I’m beginning my first year studying cs what equipment do u think I’d need?
is that a common thing? iono anything about CS so enlighten us if you will..
@@justelynnnjoelle It's just that you'd have to spend a lot of time sitting before a computer. And that can cause a lot of stress if you don't make yourself as comfortable as possible.
A gaming chair would really help as you can sit comfortably for much longer hours. Otherwise, you might have issues sitting up straight for long periods, it can mess up your position or just cause you back pain and when that happens + coupled with the stress you go through while learning, it'll seriously mess up your focus, you might get irritated and your productivity will take a dive. 📉
It would also help you immensely if you get yourself a second screen, like a monitor. You can connect that to your laptop which will boost your multi tasking a lot in general but especially if you're a CS student as you might code and work on a lot of projects and you might have many applications open and simultaneously work and switch between them all the time. Having a second screen is like a blessing.
Something that can help your eyes would be really useful as you stare at the screen for a long time and they can get tired really quickly, but I don't know of any and honestly an issue that I still face personally.
this was so relaxing, I loved it! Currently on vacation but this makes me wanna go back to law school

I went to undergrad in Manitoba and we had tutorial classes but it was designated as a lab but all we did was do practice problems haha and asked questions on how to do them (Did it for Biostats, Statistical analysis, and Differential Calculus). I’m in my 2nd year of medical school now and I honestly miss undergrad.

In Portugal we also have tutorial classes, but its for my engineering related courses, so I feel your pain. My general math, chemistry and physics courses didn't have tutorials, just a hybrid type class for presenting problems, and they are usually two hour lectures.
