I'm only a few minutes into this video and I'm already gasping at every card being cut. I feel like you're doing what all those of us with tiny hands only dream of doing to this deck.
As a designer, I think they look amazing and thanks for sharing your process. This wasn’t a straight forward trim and I love the thoughtfulness that you put into it. Good work!
You are brave! it's my favorite deck of all time and won't touch it, despite the size and slippery issues. it is pricey and don't want to screw it up. Good job Michelle!
This trim looks so hot! ❤ Your mod videos have greatly inspired me to craft and have fun with my cards… to make them fully my cards. I love my PO deck and now you’ve inspired me to chop it! It feels so good to set the artwork free and blend decks together. A deck I seldom use can become a total favorite through this process. Thank you!
Yessss! I worked with this deck literally today and I just placed it on my table but since there was a slight fold in the mat I placed it on, the cards all went slipping into my lap and I had to quickly catch them before they went everywhere! Super hard to hold onto this deck but beautiful to arch it in a spread
WOW, DM! Ya did it! And the antique linen color looks better than I thought it would ~ it matches the minor color on the card backs! Thank you so much, it gives me heart on trying this on mine. Sounds like the slippy factor is still with us, but at least the smaller size will help keep them from spewing all over the room! Great vid!
I’ve been waiting to see this video for SO long! Thank You. I’m facing the same title/border conundrum which is stopping me from trimming my Crow Tarot, which is stopping me from reading with it often… really appreciate the breakdown on the strategy of the trim. Excellent video!
You did a great job on this one. I, too, have trouble with tall decks. It looks fine and doesn't seem weird at all. I have some decks where the writing is on the top bottom. They came that way, and arent' weird either. Enjoy your "new" deck!
This was an amazing video! You gave me the courage to trim my Pagan Otherworlds deck. 😁👍🏻😎 Update: So I followed everything you did in this Mod with Me video and I cannot believe how beautiful my Pagan Otherworlds deck is now. Each card looks like a miniature painting!
Oh wow! This turned out beautifully. I also don’t reach for my copy because it’s tricky to shuffle but I’ve been hesitating to trim it down because I was worried it’d swing the opposite way and be too stiff to bridge when trimmed. You’ve given me quite a few ideas, thank you!!
This put in perspective how ginormous my hands are because I have zero problems riffle and bridging this deck as is. XD I like how you kept the titles and numbers.
hehe it made me feel like those days when I would stomp around the house in my mom's high heels (ah the 80s.) I'm so glad I was able to keep the titles, I feel like it keeps the essence of the deck while just giving it a little trim. :)
It looks fantastic. Congratulations for taking the plunge. I love the colour you chose for the edges. I have never edged a deck but I'm tempted to try that colour on my Tarot Vintage. Thank you for sharing
I heart them all after I see them, that way I know I've read them... and the person who commented knows that I appreciate them taking the time to comment. :)
Love this deck!…one of my faves. I completely agree with all u said. However, as fantastic, and much prefer the trimmed version, I just can’t go there at this time. 😬 maybe one day I’ll get the nerve. lol
Eeek I had to take a deep breath too! Pagan Otherworlds was my first deck, and I loooove the art but yeah, the slippy factor drove me nuts. I ended up lightly powdering it with the rosin/whatever that I use with my yoga mat 😂 It has helped a bit, but I have tiny hands. If I ever trim I will do the same as you-creating a jig is the simplest way to get low-stress consistency.
Beer got spilt on mine so I had to trim down to the image and take off the titles and it looks awesome. It was my most time consuming trim as like you said very slippery cardstock but end result turned out as good as being machine cut thanks to you as I followed your steps from previous mods. I am lucky enough to have another copy as I had purchased two but I was still terrified to do this mod as there is just something special about this deck.
Gosh, as someone with small hands I so want to do this, but am somewhat petrified I will stuff it up - and I only have the first edition of this deck so am reluctant to do it!! But I admit it is very tempting. Thank you for sharing your techniques 🙂
Thanks for this. I’m umming and arring about doing mine. The size is a little big to get full use out off. Although i do like bigger cards to se the art. Looks really good 👍
Yes!! I've been waiting for this❣🤗 I bought this deck recently and have had the same issues, so I want to trim mine as well. I remember you mentioning this as a project you wanted to do, so thank you so so much for sharing this Dawn Michelle!! I think I can go ahead with mine now, as you did such a great job on yours:) I see your videos pop up and click immediately -I really enjoy all of your content and appreciate your hard work so much! Thanks again 😉👌
That looks really good. I just saw someone on IG that trimmed the Carnival at the End of the World. The card stock on both seem the same to me, they're both slippery.
I just trimmed my Carnival at the end of the world because I have 2 copies and I love it so much so now was thinking of trimming the Pagan OtherWorlds (card stock is the same and hate how it flys everywhere when shuffling)so perfect timing!!!! Oh PS: it was one of my longest mods because I wanted to be so careful and precise and I’m so happy with it!!
Great job! I could never do it. I would be a nervous wreck! I would love the smaller size, though. BTW, I couldn’t tell whether it bothered you or not, but if you want them, uusi does sell the moon phase cards separately. ☺️
The FEEL of a deck you’ve trimmed and edged well is soooo satisfying. This was fun, watching you tackle fears. I’m inspired.
I'm only a few minutes into this video and I'm already gasping at every card being cut. I feel like you're doing what all those of us with tiny hands only dream of doing to this deck.
Tiny hand lady here cheering you on. YES!!

Thank you, I’m pretty happy with the way they came out. 🥰
Omg it turned out beautiful!!! 😍 I love that you left the mini border, it looks stunning!
Good job, Dawn Michelle! It's always a pleasure to see your dedication to detail during this process. The deck looks beautiful!

How cool, I'm so glad you've been inspired by them. The PO works much better for me now and I do love the way it turned out. :)

I used to own this deck so I know how slippery the trimming process would be. It was scary to watch but the results are gorgeous, well done!
The edges are a perfectly match!!
Thanks for posting this mod, I did mine the same way and I’m thrilled with it, for some reason it looks way better trimmed 😊

Yours looks beautiful trimmed and edged
"Pips with feelings as the cool kids say" 🤣 fair enough!

Looks great. Hope the smaller version ends up working well for you.
What a great result!
It looks fantastic and so pleased you are now able to use this beauty 😍

Mods are one of my fav!! And I've been waiting to see someone mod this deck!! Thank you!

At first I was a bit horrified at this idea. But, it does look amazing. ❤️

Omg i absolutely love it!! I rehomed this deck because of my small hands. But now i see it trimmed i might have to rebuy it🤣
Looks beautiful. Good job!
Not sure I could trim mine, great video

Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoy my videos. 💚
I hate metallic gilding, but this deck would look great with a metallic copper edge
That looks really good. I just saw someone on IG that trimmed the Carnival at the End of the World. The card stock on both seem the same to me, they're both slippery.
It is and I trimmed that one too. 😀 I think I have a mod with me of it on my channel!
Looks so good!!! I’m doing this exact thing!!♥️🙏
It turned out fantastic! I love it even more now! You are a tarot mod master! LOL 😍
I just trimmed my Carnival at the end of the world because I have 2 copies and I love it so much so now was thinking of trimming the Pagan OtherWorlds (card stock is the same and hate how it flys everywhere when shuffling)so perfect timing!!!!

Ok woah do you have a carnival at the end of the world trim video or show it ?? This sounds amazing
@@RoseHoneyRitual I tagged you on another social media every time I put ….YT deletes my comment 🙃
I trimmed the Carnival too, think I even had a mod with me on it! :)
@@DawnMichelleTarot omgosh!!! I can’t believe I missed it, I’ll try to find
@@RoseHoneyRitual It was a while ago, but it was a really cool project. I enjoyed it. 😀

😱😱😱😱😱
If the texture of the linen cardstock was just as easy to get rid of as a trim - I HATE the bumpyness and how it interferes with the art
