The canned potatoes make the best potato soup or chowders. I also use them with pot roast if I don’t have enough fresh potatoes. I always keep lots of them on hand, whole, sliced and diced. They also have quite a bit of liquid which is important in emergencies. Thanks for your great videos.
powdered vinegar is definitely on my next Amazon order. Our favorite use of tarragon is honey and tarragon roasted carrots, tarragon and carrots are an awesome combination. I'm going to watch this video again, there was a lot of information and I want to take some notes. Thank you, love your videos.❤🌱
🌱 I am always wary of monthly sign ups on websites but I can say that Thrive life’s is really as easy as you say. I have just started ordering with them the last couple months, Thank you to you!! You can remove and add things to you delivery with just a click. You can change the date, skip, or order early. The website sends you an email a few days before if you forget do you can go in and pause it if you are not ready. It is so easy. Great haul. I agree with others, you always show some great ideas that I would never have thought of.
Thank you, Jara, you always give excellent information. I literally hate vienna bites ----- OD'ed on them when I was a kid... just can't buy them, much less eat them!
🌱🌱 again as always, received great ideas from your videos, Jara! I'm a casual, retired nurse, and ordered some thrive life FD foods and excited... just starting and excited.. going to get into jar meals! Loving your meals in a Bag!! Thank you!
🌱Great video once again! But I'm curious how full are the thrive life cans? I have read the serving size and how many serving in the cans and I'm afraid that they are only a 1/3 to 1/2 full and that would cause a lot of wasted space. Please advise or show a video as you open cans so we can see the volume in these cans please.🌱
@wickedprepared Please google info about the pink sauce you bought. I grabbed some from the dollar store on clearance and my daughter told me to throw them out, that the company went under for jarring an unsafe product that made people sick. I poured it out and cleaned and repurposed the bottles.
Thank you Jara! Appreciate your videos. That’s crazy lol .., all of that snow! But Spring is right around the corner. 💕 I used my food saver for hours last night & got so much done that I needed to do. I’m going to start putting the meals together from your last video & this one too! I’ve been saving jars & just purchased 24 more. Thanks to you… you’re a blessing! 😊 Happy Easter Jara ✝️🌷🪻
Be careful buying stuff from the Walmart food clearance section. Walmart will put items there and leave it at full price. Some are marked down, but not all .
Aww thank you so much for watching! If you'd like any info on Thrive or if you have any questions, I'd love to chat. You can text me any time at 207-762-7138 if you'd like 😊
You put all the links for everything in comments!! Thank you. Wanna try those scampi and pad thai mixes. Just heard the Fed is lowering interest rates, so that means more price inflation on food.😢 Thanks for info, enjoy your videos.
Our Spring has had much more snow than we have had in years here in the Rocky Mountains. I agree with you regarding herbs. I have discovered that dehydrating herbs that I grow are amazing ing delicious and soooooo easy to grow and dry. My favorites: Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, Basil, and more. I just purchased several cans of potatoes just for a real emergency. I am now encouraged to purchase more. I have a good supply of dehydrated potatoes and want to increase it as well for true emergency. We purchase a lot from Amazon and I earn credits. I consider that “free money” and buy the extra things with that “free money.” I agree with the soups that we have been used to making quick meals with. I never heard of vinegar powder…I have vinegar but going to look for the powder. I have been looking for a good protein powder that will store for very long term, as well. Cool phone holder for the plane. We have them for our car and tables. I also always had well stocked freezers…yes multiple. Then, I built up canned foods: meats, vegetables and fruits, now building up Freezer Dried Foods…..I can buy a whole lot of food for the price of a freeze dryer….so the machine is down on my priority list. How does one become a Thrive consultant? That is an interesting possibility.
🌱I rarely use bleach and chose lysol as it has the thymol as its active ingredient and kills everything 99.99% it is what beauticians and Barbers use in Marvacide/ Barbacide to cleans the reusable tools also nail techs. Bleach is easy to make it is electricity and salt basically ( sodium chlorite) . There used to be how to make it under the name ' ultimate survival manual you can also make your own oven cleaner ( sodium hydroxide aka lye)
Spring seems to be here (Mississippi), which means rain and possible tornadoes 🌪, But wait a week and we could have snow ... who knows? 🤷♀️ I just bought a bottle of that Pink sauce because I noticed on the label it is a Tik Tok sensation So, why not? 😂 All of the cashiets and workers, as well as the lady in line behind me) had heard about it, but none knew how it was used. I'm guessing as a salad dressing? I have some shrimp that I plan on cooking tomorrow, so may use it as a dipping sauce. The Minute Rice comes in microwavable cups (2 4.4 oz cups) and I have found them at Dollar Tree , Kroger, Walmart, and Winn Dixie. I have Jasmine, Jalapeno, Yellow and Brown and Wid Rice. There are a couple of other flavors. 🌱
I always enjoy your videos. The protein powder is very expensive but I may still get it. I am looking forward to seeing how you use the baking pans. Thanks for all you share!
That's awesome- we're not so lucky here, we just got 2 feet of snow so no in season berries here yet 😢 Last time there was a sale like this, just out of curiosity I bought some berries, cleaned and sliced them and calculated how much I was paying per cup of prepared berries. I couldn't freeze dry them myself for less than the sale price, especially when I figured in my time and electric cost. So I buy as much as I can when they're on sale. I see some folks in different areas getting great deals on fresh strawberries but no such luck here... if I do find some good deals or if we get a bumper crop (and don't eat them all fresh lol) then I will be loading up our freeze dryer too! 🍓❤️🍓
Dream Whip is something my mom would always use. I remember seeing a dream whip advertisement saying to add it to a dry cake mix. It will make the cake rise higher when baked.
I haven’t tried the pink sauce but seen someone who tried it after getting it at the dollar tree and they said it was awful and people in the comments agreed saying the same thing
Omg just now when you said this something hit me...I think I bought some of this at Dollar Tree too 🤦♀️ My old brain is losing it lol. I'll have to check my stash and maybe return this four dollar bottle to Walmart 😂 Especially if it's not good!
I would like to know how to store "Pool Shock. " I put it in plastic and it disintegrated. I put it in metal and it ate through the can. I think glass would work but what to use for a lid?
Like to know do you take the things that you buy in shelf boxes do you take then and put them in bag or jars thank You for helping us to see the needs to prepare for future out comes love ❤️ and peace to you
I got 30" of snow on the 21rst and getting another foot today monday 25th!!!!! For me i canned the petite potatoes in pints for the whole potatoes. I do buy the gv diced potatoes and dehydrate frozen gv diced can potatoes!!!! I hav a few cans of sliced potatoes but mostly hav 2 lg auguson buckets of dehydrated sliced potatoes!!!! And over 200# of mash potato flakes in mylar 5 gallon buckets!!!!!

Last one of the evening for me for the night. Dragon Fruit is amazing and I have freeze-dryer envy 💯
I was raised in bean and rice burritos, red beans and rice and just plain old beans. And together it is a complete protein.

I love the canned whole potatoes heated up with salt and pepper and butter and that’s it!!
They are so good roasted with some butter and fresh parsley in the oven
Hey there Thank you for sharing love from New Hampshire, Be safe, Be careful
I love can potatoes I put them in the last few minutes cooking steamed cabbage and it’s delicious as well as bulking up the meal 😊
Great ideas! I love your unique ideas & appreciate you linking items mentioned - I’m sure that’s a lot of work on your part. Have a great day! 😊
Thank you for sharing great video and you have a really nice pantry haul there my friend and good stuff too.

Tarragon tastes a bit like licorice...but milder. It's great with chicken.

🌱🌱🌱 Thank you for all the great tips. God Bless
My mom also used to make stroganoff from the Loma Linda vegetable steaks... was my favorite, too! I still make it sometimes.
To me canned potatoes are tasteless and gummy. I'd rather buy potato flakes and freeze dried potatoes.
It's all in how you prepare them. That's the secret!
🌱Rooting for Spring! Thanks for the shout out. You have another awesome prep video here. I love learning from you.

I’m in New Brunswick (Canada). We’re got snow, too! If you rinse your potatoes really well, they’re good in potato salad
Great information 🌱🌱

Strawberries are in season. The freeze drier is loaded up with trays.

Whole potatoes and Italian salad dressing. An Alaskan staple
I'm going to have to try that!!

There's very few canned soups that aren't 😢 unless you are prepared to pay both arms and a leg!
When hungry we will eat

Sounds yummy. I'm not a fan of the ground beef texture so I'm going to try this to see if it helps. Thank you
🌱🌱love the info!!!
We got 21 inches in Dover-Foxcroft. Surprised everyone.
❤ Can't find the sprout! Lol
Looking for mixed vegetables in those cans? Anyone ever see them?
