She says “look at me look at you” and then sings about “tears of blood” and this is represented in the MV, with the sun in which she’s in front of being the pupil. We can see the outline of the upper part of the eye, and then the piece that is added around her head is the actual “blood”.

This song is heavy on trumpets and horns and for me it signifies that SOMEONE is coming, SOMEONE prominent and important, like royalties. I also imagine this song as a perfect opening for their concerts. Pretty much like Bling Bling of iKON (which is trumpet/horn heavy also)(they also use that song as their opening in concerts), I believe BP's producers intentionally made a song which has that kind of vibe.
great analysis as always. I think you're totally right and you will love the second song as follow up to "Kill This Love". Actually I prefer to listen to the whole EP in the correct order of the tracks. No shuffling. "Kill This Love" needed a few listens for me to understand what they did with the chorus, the base line, the surprising slow pace and why they ended it at that point. But it really grew on me. I love it now. It is more of an "anthem" than a traditional "song", different and like you said somewhat risky. And what an amazing show opener (for Coachella?) this will be. Gets the crowd really going. It already showed at their comeback stages, when the audience went crazy. It also perfectly allows the audience to sing along in the chorus and make it into a joint event. So in the end I'm really happy with it. And the music video is stunning. When Rose crys in the car... awwwwww.... And I will be never able to watch or play Tomb Raider again without regretting that it is not Jennie who plays Lara Croft.

You nailed it about the missing bass in the drop. It almost feels like a song from a musical. It's the same feeling when you're waiting for the big drop in "As If It's Your Last". This is closer to Rock/Pop than a dance bop.
