Read the original "Contest of Champions" event.
They should totally make this into a series. Just use the existing shows already, along with new and original stuff based on this game, and have a crossover event were these universes are merged together and have to fight an unknown being. That way when it's overr both seires can co-exist with each other, but certain elements in the character's histories are changed because of the knowledge they have. They can make so many original stuff with this

@@kevanoid This is true. I especially resented the feeling that I just _had_ to spend money to get XXX characters. Like, something like Marvel STRIKE Force is similar, but at least you had a good chance of getting characters through gameplay in events and they often have repeats so you can try to get characters you initially missed.

My theory:
Since marvel contest of champions became a game because of an episode in ultamate spiderman season 3, and I this trailer we see we are teleported to an alternate universe, so in avengers assemble season 4, the avengers discussed that the new people are from and alternate universe (where the new spiderman [2017] came from) so then if the watcher sends us to that universe it would make lots of sence. The second part of this theory is that its connected to marvel realm of champions, I think the trailer is trying to tell us that we eaither stay in the battle realm, which is going to be taking a risk of defeating galactus, or we can go to the new game where apparently there is no risk of him. That's my theory and make sure to share it with matpat cuz that's just a theory, A GAME THEORY

The Spider-Man suit is a new mashup of a bunch of different suits he's worn before. And in the comics, when Iron Man "died", he uploads his consciousness into the mainframe overwriting Jarvis and becomes a hollow knight, spirit in the shell, whatever you wanna call it.

We might actually! The game itself is based off of the Contest of Champions comic book storyline! I just can't wait to see what they do with Galactus imo.
@@nicksterbros.ultimate5292Well, if we’re going to be technical, while the game borrowed the title a contest format from the “Marvel Super Hero Contest of Champions” comic which sees Grandmaster engage Lady Death in a cosmic tournament to determine the fate of the Collector, using various 616 characters as pawns in the matches.
Outside of that basic setup, the majority of this game actually takes most of it’s plot details, story elements, locations, and characters from 2015’s Secret Wars comic. Then as years went on, they seem to have incorporated a decent amount of character design and story elements from Infinity Wars comic(2018), Infinity Warps(2018), and also Secret Warps(2018). These various titles are where all the ideas like Battleworld, the varying realms and territories, the elemental byproduct of multiversal death iso-8, the countless variant character from alternate universes, as well as the warped combo characters.
