Dang that's heavy. I guess not every team can be drama free like team KSN. But again, universe was like bending backwards just for them : despite having the lowest point of all teams, somehow they managed to do bad enough to win the most expensive price. Winning Son buff is real after all
I think KSN knew the position they were in and went in with the mindset of just having fun and trying their best, putting less pressure on themselves which helped them overperform relative to the competition.

The notable moments in this APEX custom tournament that I've seen so far:
- Kanda's team that went from real struggle to getting champion in the first match
- NSN(Ibrahim, Chihiro and Ratna) team's interactions and progressive teamwork evolving
- Matsuri talking about backseaters talking shit in chat
- Kuzuha and Ichinose awkward moments and Ran's masterful handling of the situation
- Hoshikawa and Odanobu being a hilarious pairing
Pretty sure there's way more... I wish I could see all of the hidden gems in this tournament!
If you’re interested in the team from this video, Team RAG went from 13th place to 5th place in the very last match of the tournament, having bad luck 4 times in a row and breaking out of it at the end.
It’s a very exciting watch, especially the last 10 or so minutes of it. Then they cried for about 15 minutes straight out of both frustration and joy.
I’ve heard even people not familiar with them were moved, so it might be something you’d like.
Matsuri's situation was extremely frustrating IMO.
I like how Astel talked about how VGorilla was actually a nice guy.
I remember seeing when Towa was telling a story to her TMS teammates, about when Ran from Gorimare told her how it was having him on their team.
She was curious about team comms in Gorimare, since VGori was a Pred rank player - was he the stereotypical sweaty pro who would shout lots of commands in VC?
Turns out he wasn't, and was very patient and kind with his teammates in VC despite the big skill gap.
Cue Towa impersonating VGori "Ran-san, you shouldn't go there..." and now Astel (he didn't say the Ran part though).

well her enthusiasm for the game can help her improve faster if astel mentors her haha would be funny if he teaches her to play apex seriously and not let her play any rank game ... she would be the funniest wild card
@BoinBoin Cult I think there was a korean(?) vtuber who participated who did just fine so its not totally impossible... I live in SEA and my tokyo server ping is 30 w/c is playable if your playing support role
PS: don't take me seriously.. I just think it would be funny if she improved to plat skill w/ out playing any rank game
I believe Shibuya Hal, the person in charge of the tourney, is changing the rules so that teams won’t just be based on the players’ ranks due to people that are more skilled than their actual rank, like Astel and Reid, both who are masters in diamond rank. So faking your rank probably won’t work in the next tourney

@@benja9029 you do know general korean internet is way better than SEA ones right? also kr to jp is basically neighbor, the distance alone wont be much problem. Now SEA on the other hand.. unless you are on SG you need to rely on luck

I also do hope that RAG gets to do APEX together again in whatever APEX events that they can participate in. Of course, the rules change up to keep it interesting and fair so that there's variety of players mixed and match. Since this was their first APEX tournament together, hopefully, they can join as a team again since Aruran improved like crazy for the extreme limited amount of time he had after accepting to join RAG despite not being originally an avid APEX player. Overall, very proud of their achievements and it's an experience all the boys are going to take to get stronger whether they can get back together as a team or not.
there is a weekly Shibuharu custom they could join, but maybe they dont have the drive to fight such tough opponents. Nijisanji team ABC joined last week and also this for tomorrow Custom, so you dont need to be high rank to challenge yourselves.
@@Pepe-dq2ib I wouldn't say that. As someone who follows Aruran, since joining RAG, he even plays Apex off stream. One time he was so close to Diamond 4 and tweeted out that he was gonna do a guerilla stream so we could watch along and celebrate with him. Low and behold, he legit got to Diamond 4 (this was also before reset day). They all have the drive but if they don't want to participate due to personal reasons, that's their business. For example, Izuru has been open about this and he's a busy university student but makes time to stream when he can.
@@kiabpaj shibuharu custom is only 3 matches.... i dont think being a busy student matters if hes already playing in his free time.

At least one of the members of her squad were really sick around that time, and couldn’t make more than one or two practice matches. It sucks, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

@@dewaputra9251 its a joke... that pro is just a Shion fan and used the name for fun. They did some practice, but Ayame had dancing lessons and Shion was sick, she didnt stream on her own channel for 2 weeks. And i am a paid member to Noah, Sumire and few others. I think i know the good vtuber players.

I need to watch the archive, I only knew that they fought but not the details~ hope to find subbed vid of it. On another note, I still wonder why their team name is like that haha
Kanda is known for friendly teasing and back and forth banter with his friends, well liked among his colleagues, Miyako especially one of his friends where they would agressively banter with each other, however this time there were tensions building due to them being hard on themselves, Kanda made passive aggressive tease and the tension boiled over and resulted in Miyako breaking down crying and Kanda felt guilty for making one of his close friends cry.
Name is word play from one Kanji character from each of the three members.

I was really surprised when Kanda's team won. But i didn't know how the other teams were because i only watched DeepKiss, SFG and AQF during the customs. After the tournament, i did watch Big Star's archives though from Shirayuki Reid's channel.

There were 5 matches total and in one of those they took Champion. Placed 9th overall, but getting that one Champion was big. A huge morale booster.
