Garden Pink(Modern Pink) is the hybrids at least in part,from D.plumarius.Height 10-15in.planting distance 9-12in.By crossing an old-fashioned pink with a perpetual-flowering carnation,the hybrid D.xallwoodii was produced.This became the parent of modern pink.These border plants are faster-growing than the old-fashioned pink,they produce many more blooms,during June and July and flowering again in September and October.Deadhead to prolong flowering.They must be propagated more often,normally every two or three years.
