- Wes Landers and I enter the Cast For A Cure bass fishing tournament on Lake Guntersville in the fall! It was epic! This was our first bass tournament together, and Wes' second tournament ever! Andrew can you please explain what Fizzing is and why you do it. I’m an old tournament fisherman and back in my day we didn’t have that. And also, I want to Thank You very much for sharing the Lord in your content. Most young men today are afraid to even mention God, but you make sure to give God the Glory in everything. I hope Cody and Scout are doing well.
Fizzing is punturing the air bladder on captured fish, to increase their chance of survival when you release them.
For fish caught deep so they can be released without floating.

You only need to fizz a fish that was caught 20 ft or deeper
