I've been listening to Dr. Stevenson for at least six years and I love his ministry. However, respectfully, one part of this message disappoints me a little. As a former D9 member, I do not agree with downplaying the D9 rituals and hazing. Passing candles in dark rooms, saying chants, calling on eternal spirits, bowing/ kneeling at altars, singing over the dead, etc. is nothing to downplay, in my opinion. There are several scriptures to back this up. I still respect him though. I just disagree. Maybe he feels this way because he isn't aware. I also remember him saying his sister is a Delta. Praying for God to reveal the truth because that's what people need.
I don’t think that he was downplaying the spiritual aspect of the D9 more than he was exposing the fact that there are even more intense, spiritual, rituals, and Christian organizations that are often times, deemed “good“ because they vaguely mention Christian practices. I think that he was more so comparing them Versus saying that D9’s rituals were acceptable. I really mean this in all love, and I hope that this provides a little clarity!💜
This type of intelligent dialogue is soooooooo critical for believers in this hour!!!!!
