My Supervisor continuously discouraged me to drop the topic of my thesis saying that "IT WAS ORIGINAL" and after i somehow convinced him being respectfully resillient to him when the stage of thesis came I WAS ASKED TO PAY THE PIPER 2.5 LACS and consequently i had to drop my whole M.Phil program cause of the reason i couldn't live with the fact that i after doing all the hard work and coming up with ORIGINAL IDEA on thesis in a field i felt i could chip in future I HAD TO ACTUALLY PAY BRIBE to the very person who is supposed to be my TEACHER.

In the UK each university course has an employability score, based on what percentage of graduates found employment within 6 months of completing a course. In Pakistan we need a similar score for our university degrees. Ultimately most people who go to university go to learn knowledge that will make them employable (other than humanities and arts students). If you're study computer science and you come out not being able to code - was that degree of any value to you? I don't think so. It may be the case that in our society there are not enough jobs for certain degrees, for example we dont fund scientific research let alone historians, or artists - but then we need to consider what weighting our degrees carry in markets that do have these sorts of job roles. Of course employability should not be the only measure of value for a degree course, but it has to be a signficant measure for anyone who isn't a member of the social elite.
