- AS NOISY AS IT GETS... The cosmic static is so loud this month that it’s challenging to hear beyond the distracting noise. Although Mars in Aries is slowing down to turn retrograde in September, Mercury and Venus are both swiftly moving direct, making lots of aspects and stirring the energy. We’re in for a change of terrain as Mercury flies into Leo on August 4 and then into Virgo on August 19. Venus, which has lingered in Gemini since early April, finally ventures into new lands, entering Cancer on August 7. Conflictive Mars doesn’t need to look to far for trouble while moving through impulsive Aries. Nevertheless, the Capricorn cluster prevents Mars from running away with the show as it squares Jupiter on August 4, Pluto on August 13, and Saturn on August 24. We might want to fight every battle to the finish only to realize that it’s more important to win the war.
The Aquarius Full Moon on August 3 reveals the complexity of making individual choices while being a part of a community that serves a greater purpose. The Full Moon’s square to rebellious Uranus is a wild card that could release a wave of coordinated personal expression that catches us off guard. The Leo New Moon on August 18 is conjunct communicator Mercury, inviting us to express what’s in our hearts through creative behavior. But the lunation’s awkward aspect to stern Saturn impedes satisfaction. Instead of smiling all the way to gratification, we are blocked by the weight of the status quo, authorities, and our own self-imposed limitations.
The planetary energy rises to a crescendo toward the end of the month as Venus opposes Jupiter, tempting us with overindulgence or lulling us into a false sense of comfort. A Venus-Pluto opposition increases the stakes by emphasizing matters of the heart. Although power struggles begin and end the month of August, Mercury opposes deceptive Neptune on August 30, making it difficult to determine if circumstances are actually playing out in our favor. We are inundated with extreme choices throughout the month, but in nearly all cases, it’s best to play the middle of the road. Some decisions cannot be delayed. However, simultaneously holding opposite perspectives becomes the key to success. It’s as if we are shooting the rapids on a wild river and all of our attention is on the present moment. Nevertheless, keeping one eye on the distant destination enables us to make better choices with consistency.

I’m watching this on the 8th - yup, so much going on I couldn’t find the time, etc - finally I said to myself - this is way too much, I’ve got to see what’s going on with the planets! Wow! Your end statement was what I downloaded today. I am in it for the long run with a simple view to come out, at some point , better for it.
Not getting stuck in the immediate battles, just exhausting myself, but to see its leading us to a greater sense of independence and acceptance, and set up what is more realistic after the institutions fail to maintain the old structures. I also want more depth in any relationships that can offer open communion to support our strengths along that pathway. Cutting ties with those determined to tie me back in to outdated strategy’s that only fit the old world..

Yo! Exactly I've just recently had a Mars message, conj. Chiron 6th House right leg (male side) injured (minor but painful). Now my leg is talking to me about "the why" I attracted this experience. My guidance from my leg says," you're trying to run your life from your female side only-" buck up girl!". I saw how I was too agreeable from a feeling of wanting to be liked...and reminded me that what I think of me us up to my own management. Beautiful summary. Opposite ideas held at the same time by standing strong and at balance at 40K view, where divergent ideas exist easily in Global Consciousness. A huge challenge for our bubble multi-universes where opposites tend to split apart into warring camps. Such a grand mirror reflected in the world today, where all the ancient traumas and karmas long denied are rising up, demanding to be seen, heard, healed and reestablished at the round table as equals in the social fabric of reality. The long game is a fascinating view from here and so full of promise.

With all those inconjuncts between Leo (the Sun is dignified) and the Capricorn planets (Saturn is dignified), in addition to the Aries/Capricorn squares (Mars in Dignified), and Pluto's involvement in the mix, we are due to some real challenges in the weeks ahead. All those aspects between the king who wants to rule, and the authoritarian, the leader/fighter, and the controller (Pluto) (the four harshest energies in the zodiac) don't look good. But this whole year is one big mess, so . . . As always, Rick, thanks for the amazing video!!! :)

I can relate to the Mercury Pluto opposition on the 1st being 2 days away from my 73 year old mother having an operation that she was very fearful of. She had taken a long time to get to the point she was ready for this operation mostly due to her fear of going under anesthetic. I have a strong Mercury maybe a little to much so and all i could think of was restraining myself from talking to much about it and possibly raising more fears or anxiety over the period leading up to the operation. I'm still learning Astrology but the Mercury - Saturn opposition on the day of her Surgery Seems very relevant also, I mean Literally couldn't communicate with her for a period while she was under. Prior to the surgery I know there were some aspects around the time of all this happening but as a novice in this I went the way of let things be, be. It is very therapeutic revisiting astrology again, as a child, as a teenager, in my late 20's and now hopefully for the continuation of my life at the age of 40. Thanks for this teaching.(Edit) - An after thought about Chiron square with the sun, My mother having Sun in Cancer with Leo rising, My mother is like my teacher as mothers are (she actually teaches Piano also), yet I'm her Carer now, the healer/teacher being healed, well if it was the stars that aligned for my mother to come through this operation seems good to me, ill go with that ahaha.
