Defend The Flock - Special Event 2022

Back by popular demand, our Defend the Flock event provides real-life scenario based training for our members in an active shooter response scenario. This event takes place at a church in Colorado Springs, CO, where our members put their training to the test in learning how best to defend members of their scenario parish.
Active shooter incidents are on the rise and the goal of the Able Shepherd program is to train civilians, individuals, police, and private security teams to the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency to gain the confidence and better protect the ones we love.
What is the Able Shepherd Program?
Able Shepherd™ is the standard-setting, nationally-recognized progressive training program designed to teach situational awareness, leadership and protective tactics that can be applied to virtually any threatened environment. We operate from the belief that your family’s immediate safety cannot be delegated; you can be the fastest and most capable ‘first responder’ in your immediate vicinity.
At its core, Able Shepherd™ is an elite-level self-defense program utilizing armed and unarmed tactics. Graduates become known as “Able Shepherds,” gaining skills that empower themselves to actively protect, guide and strengthen their communities. Our goal is to make you, and those around you, safer. We do this by holding you to the highest of moral, ethical and tactical standards.

No one holds/ points their gun in the air.
No one spins around in a room, especially when pointing into the air.
No one goes into a fatal funnel two at a time, at the same time shoulder to shoulder.
No one moves fast paced into a room, hence, slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
When cleaning a hall way, don’t be all shoved up onto each other, use formation.

this video is not saying that everything you see in it is done properly. This is a video of an event that took place showing the learning of skills. Some of the individuals were learning concepts for the first time, and in a fluid environment, not everything goes smoothly. Adrenaline affects everyone differently. Its much better to fail in a learning environment like this than when it really counts. Any learning done there is a positive.
