@@kuronanestimare Now that you say that, it's the only good thing about bolide, imo. I hate the hp drain. I feel just as bad when receiving or giving out a strong heal, only for it to disappear into the aether.

Yeaaaah...let's just say that even if the fight is 'quick', it's not 'easy'. You often have to do a lot of practicing for certain mechanics, namely Conflag Strike.

I noticed it already in E5s that Drak used DualCast from damage spells, i thought he was just optimizing dps
@@ronnymahendra9035 Yeah, but you use vercure when you can't target the boss to set up a dualcast, even if you aren't trying to raise someone.
Yep you ALWAYS pop vercure during any downtime where the boss will be untargettable for at least one GCD, well, guess it doesn't matter if there's a cutscene coming up or something but generally any downtime = vercure and hit 'em with a thunder or aero the moment they come back.
4 years and 2 expansions later, Drak is still getting back at Jesse for normal monk damage jokes, that's impressive
Also yeah, when Garuda splits the arena you actually have a 2-3 seconds of safe walking across the death puddle, always scares people in PF clears

@@TheAlmostward Kind of why I left over SMN. Yes they compensation buffed it into top tier, but they are just Ruin mages now. Not much fun unless you just like big numbers

@@LevaniaMeyano They were always DoT mages with other stuff working off the dots. Was actually interesting to thrown in the good Ruin when it triggered. Not there are phases of just trying to spam a bunch f ruin in a window

My static's begun progging on this fight, today was our first attempt at it and we managed to get to Raktapaksa a few times, and at least one time everyone was alive for it.
It's been said by other people, but I wanna say, I really enjoy these videos not just because they're funny, but you show off the hard part of progging, too - the days spent failing while learning. Especially since you're here learning it pretty much entirely from scratch, long before the cheese strats are developed.

Oh, I know. At that time we were just talking about how "inferior" it was because of the whole 50 potency you were losing by using it lol. I was just seein' if it was possible to safely do it, but death, as it turns out, ends up in much higher potency losses than that 50 potency lol

@@DrakGamestein if you use it off cooldown you get a 4th usage of it, which means you don't loose damage. Swap one of the four to a full backflip and you instead *gain* 100 potency

Uhh tate you did have agro when cory popped super and got shot up into the air seems like the uppercut target is cansoled out as a target for agro and losses all threat currently gotten at that time which gave you the agro lead and thus the downward hit (kinda like the 2nd tankbuster)

Funny: Jesse switched off AST for SCH this tier when I did the opposite.
Tbh, as a SCH main since 2.1, SCH's current state is ass, and I don't mean from the lack of DoTs like other people seem to think.
As a former sch main: i fully understand and agree (i went whm tho, if you are curious). The best way to describe it is they went from having a toolkit to solve problems with in the last expansion, and this time around they just... dont. Also Aetherflow did not need 3 nerfs to it -_-.
Also there's an issue right now where mitigation is so strong that healing looks fine, but healing is actually super weak this expansion.
@@uberpinkwarrior The mitigation is fine... if there isn't a period of steady damage spikes or there's a need to be at full in a short time because SCH can do neither of those things. While the latter doesn't happen, the former absolutely does. Ramuh and Idol both have AoE spams for soft enrages (as does the Blasphemy add). Shiva might as well, but I haven't been there yet.
I feel like the healers in general, not just SCH, need an overhall. Right now, SE seems to think that WHM needs to be the Regen healer, SCH the shield healer, and AST the one that fills in the gap, but then they started to fill in some of the gaps of their kits that the other provides. They need to go further: each of them needs shields and regens as a part of the basic kit. Let their personal mechanics flesh them out individually. Lillies are fine/could be further expanded for WHM. SCH has faries and Aetherflow (honestly would like to see the fairies be the regen/shield aspects of SCH while the buffs of Deployment/Emergency grant shields and regens through Adlo/Succor). AST's Celestial Opposition provides the opposite sect ability (to go with Intersection), and Opposition/Intersection are also affected by Neutral. They should probably be able to swap mid-fight, but the swap lock is 15s to prevent mindless switching.
@@Inhaledcorn I'd actually really love for the fairy to be buffed and made more interactive. I know people complain about it being an afk healer if the fairy is too strong, but right now healers spend most GCDs dpsing anyways. Also physick should be buffed a bit. For some reason, its a lower potency heal than cure 1 or bene 1 (400 pot vs 450), and it should be either just as strong, or IMO, slightly stronger (i posit it should be 500 potency).
Also for our group, for the damage pulses phases of raids, we either throw down 2 bubbles (sch + whm bubble) and a med 2 + fairy regen and call it a day, or if we need more, i pop thin air and cure-3 spam.
A general trend i've been noticing this raid tier is how theres typically absurd raid damage (like 90% of peoples health with no mitigation), followed by a full minute or more of nothing, then another super aoe, then full minute of nothing. Which means every time theres an aoe, i can reliably throw out confessions, assize, and rapture or med 2 and watch everyone immediately go back to full health. It's silly.
