They're from San An, so I'm lucky to get to see them regularly here in TX. Love them! Even without their awesome showmanship on this bass solo and on the crazy cool drumming on the live verison of Salem, they have great songs to back it all up! Check out their new album!
Seeing this in Boston on the periphery tour was probably the best show I've ever been to. That entire bass solo segment was mind blowing to see live I loved every second of it.
Saw these guys when they came by my home town with 5FDP and they played this. It was amazing live. Wish I caught some footage, but I was in with the moshers...
Thats pretty much the only bar I like too lol. And wait a minute... You just saw them and Korn there? You telling me I just missed seeing them a week ago???
It's just fine with me if your opinion is you didn't like their performance. I think saying "this band is nothing more than one gimmick after another" was a bad way to say 'I didn't like it' though, as that suggests they can't play instruments other than doing this bass solo. Not only that, but they only have two moments in a show that they do creative things like what you see here, as opposed to you suggesting the entire live show is like this. You want to see an actual gimmick, then look up videos of Lil Wayne 'playing' guitar. Nothing More albums speak for themselves, without needing to be seen live to enjoy them. They've got plenty of great songs: Gone, Salem, Jenny, I'll Be Ok, This is the Time, Sex and Lies, Bullets and Blue Eyes, and Few Not Fleeting, to name a few. Their song "This is the Time" is on the radio nationwide because of musical merit, not because of their showmanship.
YeedlyDeedly Agreed the bass and drum solo are creativity and showmanship, not gimmicks one of the members taught himself how to wield just to make that bass stand. I don't think Nothing More will ever need to use gimmicks as they are a amazing band all the way around, and make good music unlike the fake rock bands like Imagine Dragons and The Vamps. Now that they are finally getting recognized their getting to the spotlight very fast.
No because what they just did on that bass was pretty damn impressive your "opinion" Is based off of your bland taste in music lack of diversity these guys put on a hell of show I saw them last night and they did this bass solo but now it's more practical and finished they were using sliders and all and if you didn't like the show they put on then sorry that you couldn't recognize an awesome band with an awesome cause
Rachael Kaine Well, I like my bass a bit heavier usually, but the fact that they not only come up with a very creative bass solo instead of the usual drum and guitar! Also, the fact that three men played on this bass was impressive enough at the least!
As a freedom loving American your just as free to express your opinion as we are to hate it XD. It's perfectly respectable if you don't like the band though, I haven't heard much of their work but I can't see how anyone can dislike that beauty of a performance. The bassinator is great
one 'gimmick' after another? They usually do a bass solo, and a full band percussion thing at the end of the song Salem. They're a great band, even without these TWO things.
It's not a fucking gimmick, it's called Showmanship and putting on a real show to get people out, instead of the same old drab that conveyor belt bands do and expect to get paid $50+ a ticket. Post another comment after you've been playing 30 years like me when your opinion might carry some fucking weight. Get a clue and stop being a Keyboard Commando / Troll. Just see it for what it is, FUN!
I totally agree that it is showmanship. And I say to each their own. Some ppl go to a concert cuz they wanna hear awesome live MUSIC. Others go becuz they wanna be entertained and see a SHOW. I say kewl if the "extras" aren't getting into the way of the sound and the music then do your thing. Trying to make their mark and trying new things.
Wow, they played with Korn? I'm so proud of these guys. They're from San Antonio, but I've been a diehard fan since I saw them play in Houston. I'm glad they're getting to play with big names like Korn! BTW, check out their new album, it's complete awesomeness. Especially the song Jenny
Dans my bother in laws brother! So when there off work (this July) Johnny will be teaching me how to sing and dans gonna teach me bass (I'm starting my heavy metal band)
They need to record this in the studio because that would just be awesome!
Haha legend of zelda! That's awesome. Love these guys, seeing them with 30stm and korn on the 31st
One of the greatest bands to see live...ever.
They did this when they came with five finger death punch. I was awestruck at the whole thing. It was amazing.

This band is awesome live! Great music and performances!

Saw them with Lacuna Coil almost 2 weeks ago....amazing!
Best bass solo ever.

NOT a solo, it's what is called an instrumental but cool none the less heh
So apparently I'm not allowed to have an opinion. Cool. This band's live show is not for me, but apparently that isn't ok with anyone else.
