Honestly, Celestia is WAY overhated. She tried her best, and honestly to me, the reason she doesn't like to fight is because of her trauma with Luna. Sure, she's not perfect. But, she has been forced to be perfect. And, when she was fighting the queen changeling, you could tell she had trauma from her fight with Luna. ( *When the Queen Changeling screamed in fear/pain, Celestia look worried and guilty, vulnerable, even. Because, she remember's her fight with Luna.* )
