She's never seen a actual punk. I've been one my whole life. I'm 42 tomorrow. Baggy clothes.....ugh. Studded leather jacket(I've had mine for 24 years) painted with your fav band logos etc,tight kegs(Scottish for trousers) and heavy boots set of with spikey hair(soap,imperial leather brand). I've without exaggeration seen hundreds of punk bands,don't listen to anything else,and amongst all those Exploited,G.B.H,UK Subs,Major Accident ,ChronGen gigs.....yeah even amongst the various sub groups (crust,anarcho etc) I've never met a baggy clothes guy wanting to be in MTV. Bottom line unless your a fascist we are pacifist. But if the writer of this song actually seen real punks walking past them at night they would not be wearing baggy clothes and carrying skateboards. They would shit a brick. That's why liking this song annoys me. Mind you,Americans....They voted in trump. I am aware of the paradox of punks being individual but still having some overall fashion standard themselves. Sod it,who cares,really.
