I have a Nissan Nerva Ka24de 2000 petrel RWD with the coil inside the distributor cap, I had a small misfire when the car warmed up and when i pulled the number one cylinder sparkplug out, the plug had a wet residue build-up on the sparkplug thread, when I cleaned the corrosion from the pins under the cup and the green corrosion on the coil, The misfire went away and no more residue after a week of driving on the number one plug thread, which means the cylinder combustion is firing correctly again, but this problem keeps on coming back every cupel of months.. I have new Leeds, new sparkplugs and a new cap.. Could It be a faulty coil causing this residue build up on the sparkplug thread..?
